If you folks had a brain, you would check out the fact that old man Bush, a Nazi, has already suspended all American rights.
You have nothing, no rights at all, check for yourself.

THIS comment is how our country should initially reflect on the passing of our oldest living former President.. I am not a Republican by any means, and we should be able to unite as a country to be bipartisan and tomourn the passing of a previous Commander-in-Chief of our great country.

Mr. Secretary Baker did such an amazing job telling such a wonderful story. It must've been extremely tough being there on G.H.W. Bush's last day here on Earth. I really agree that he was a great man in his own way. I can relate to this by saying how I got to see my great grandfather on his last day (November 25th, 2021). He passed away just a couple hours after I had seen him, and it was very tough. But deep down, those memories really stay with you, and even though the physical body dies, the spirit lives, for sure. Rest easy, G.H.W. Bush.

Thanks Jim Baker and CNN. This was a cool interview. G.H.W Bush was an awesome President and my old CINC. I hope the example of His time as President being aired on TV gets through to certain people in America. He accomplished SO much without attacking our Allies, tearing every deal up, bragging on himself, and lying like a dog....daily. No need to act like some kinda badass if you ARE a badass. President Bush absolutely rocked Iraqs military in a few weeks with Powell, Schwarzkopf, and other Great Generals help. The mother of all retreats. Ever. He cared about our National Debt and Environment. Voters rights. He realized and acted upon the fact that Uncle Sam - our Federal Government - has gotta have income just like we do. His responsible actions pissed off radical republican conservatives and gave birth to newt gingrich and today’s altright. What a President and example of what American Presidents should be.

I think James Baker is finding strength in the close bond and friendship that he and George H. W. Bush maintained over the years even outside of politics. He really held up very well when speaking of the final moments. That's an admirable thing to be able to do when youve worked with someone and known them for as many years as they knew each other.

And Bush 41 was a Christian, which means he is forgiven just like you or I if we accept Christ as our Savior. Which I did many many years ago.

There are exceptionally smart individuals then there are the Top Tier of those Exceptionals. James Baker is without doubt one of those Top Tier. The positions he has held thruout his career are at the Pinnacle. He was hired by the GWB campaign at the bequest of HWB to go to Florida and handle the Recount in 2000. At that time Warren Christopher was sent by the Gore campaign. There were those who were trying anyway they could by coming up with scenario after scenario to alter the outcome thru the use of media and Public Opinion. They would get on TV and try to convince Americans that this and that were the right things to be done to ultimately change votes. James Baker who very astutely made sure that the recount was done correctly and legally not allowing for any wild shenanigans that would have allowed re-voting or mismanagement of the vote already cast. James Baker went on TV and explained each attempt by the other side to manufacture “new votes” and was able to each time thwart the election to be overthrown. He did an exceptional job and made sure it was handled to the letter of the law.

You people taking a shit on an ex president of our nation that just passed away are a disgrace to yourself and this county. You make me sick to my stomach. You all think you know so much and are so smart because of a TH-cam video you watched. You set behind your screen and spread hate and ill will toward a man and a family who have only tried to better the people of his nation and always gave back to anyone he came across in a 94 year life. . You have no idea of the immense pressure and responsibilities this man and his son for that matter had on their shoulders. I would say you should be ashamed of yourself but I realize at this very moment anyone who would disgrace a dead man obviously would have no shame. So I will be ashamed for you.

James Baker is a great statesman. He would have made one of the greatest presidents if he ran for office. Integrity, Intelligence, Courage. He surpassed all the presidents since Eisenhower in qualification and suitability for office.
I always thought that Baker should have been the 41st president. He was too loyal to run against GHWB. No doubt he would have won in 1988 and 1992. He would have taken care of the economy as well as foreign affairs. This is an amazing leader who is well respected by Washington in his 16 years of service.

We already did in the form of Federal Taxes and the lives lost and the quality of lives lost in the "liberation of Kuwait". Bush friends and family made plenty of money and the oil contracts got signed. WE PAID!

Its a shame that he denied the innocent people he murdered the same opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones and pass over peacefully.

He signed Nafta with Canada and Mexico. Helped end the cold war and bring down the Berlin wall. But above all, he liberetated Koweit, but was wise enough to bring the troops home and not push to Bagdad. History will prove him right on that topic. Why do you think he personnaly asked for the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney to give an eulogy at his funeral? A man that understood that there is a world outside of the US of A.
