    Ok, what you saw and recorded is the standard line-up, the way young people in Serbia have fun today. Loud pop / dance music, lots of cigar smoke, dim lights, cheap girls looking for rich male sponsors. Classic, probably everywhere in the world, in similar situations. If you want something really new, what do you think about the idea of listening to music that is characteristic of the Balkans, of this part of the world. I'd like to see your reaction. We call it folk music. A word of advice, avoid the latest hits because they are mostly trash. they are more mix of pop, rap and dance, without real substance of true folk music. If you have trouble choosing, we will give you advice.

      Anja was introducing me to some Serbian music. It kinda sounded like a mix of pop and middle eastern music. I liked it. I'll check out some more Serbian folk music for sure. is there a famous artist that is well known. Kinda of like a balkan version of Edith Piaf? I love her music! Thanks!

    • @momirkoo
      @momirkoo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EvanRamani Thanks for the idea regarding Edith Piaf. Now I know what I'm going to listen to for the rest of the day. Regarding Balkan music, the music sung by Saban Saulic (unfortunately, he died in a car accident in Germany a couple of years ago) is very popular in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia. Unofficially, Croats also like that kind of music, but they don't have a lot of original performers themselves. There are variations and specific decorations for each region. If you immerse yourself in listening to music, you will notice that it is easy to recognize from which country which variant of music comes. What this Balkan music has in common is the dominance of accordion, flute and trumpet. Accordions in the first place. And of course, a specific way of singing. Most of the songs are about love, homeland, sadness because of unrequited love. Something like Balkan blues. Modern songs are more in favor of topics such as nightclubs, sex, money, etc. (what I wrote to you earlier to avoid, hahaha)
