My dad had one of those Renault Dauphines, he called it a " Dolphin", it kinda wasn't suited for the " harsh American life" And sorta just failed in every way very shortly! An experiment that failed miserably! He never bought another " furrin" car after that. P.S. It was if I remember right about $1500.00 or so brand new. He replaced it with a Ford Fairlane, that lasted many years ! A lesson there I guess. On another note, up here in northern N. H. near Canada,we have received about the same for snowfall as you, I have the good fortune of having an F-250, with a 9 foot plow on it, with a nice " comfy " seat and heater ,stereo and wish I had your Kubota as I am nearly out of places to push the stuff! I really enjoy your videos ,and appreciate the effort you put in! Thanks!!!
I enjoyed watching every episode of you building the dodgilac but that little rockabilly truck still has my heart. Those are some serious icicles over your door. stay warm and safe
Nothing but fun on the mountain! More than enough to keep a body busy. Be safe. I noticed that you pulled some of that snow off the back of the garage, that's a good start ...
Daddy had a 57 Renault Dauphine. Ran paper routes with it till there was so much play in the backend you couldn't hold it straight. Cut the roof off it and fenders put a set of old Caddy tires on it made a dune buggy out of it!
On your way out the garage I kinda thought you would raise the bucket and knock down that snow and ice avalanche waitin ta fall. Good vid Brother stay safe and stay warm.
I'm by no means a "safety Sally" and I have the upmost confidence in your driving ability. However, I do not wish to see you become impaled by a falling ice cycle, LOL. Those darn things look lethal !!! I'm getting hammered by snow as well. Turning out to be a good winter !! But, I think the Groundhog lied. Winter doesn't seem to be ending soon. I think we should sue him...... :-)
I bet a man of your exceptional metal working /welding ability could make up a cab enclosure for your tractor that would be warmer than the outside temp and come off easily for the warmer months. Great video. Thx
yeah, if i set my mind to it.. im sure I could but it only takes about half an hour to clean the road.. never figured the juice was worth the squeeze lol thanks for watching
Pleased you've got Sparky Mk 2 😊 Now, Renault Dauphine. Remember I've often talked about Carl, my friend and mentor for many years. Well it all started when he bought 2 rusty ones and was going to make 2 single seater road cars. In the event they never got built, however that was when I started spending my spare time with him, and got my 'education' which you see the results of today. Oh Rockabilly won't forgive you. All tucked up nice and warm, then put out in that cold. At that age, freeze to death lol.
We didn't get but a couple of inches of snow with our cold weather over here on the Kettle river. Glad it missed us, although it is snowing now. Hay, is that a hiccup in your gait. Iol!
Your bench isn't as bad as @MrHevyChevy I mean his is epic! I mean that dude has it down to an art form! I suspect he is teaching the Little Man the finer points of the intricate placement of items in such a way as to make it look "natural". 😉 If only there was a way to tag him in this comment.
Back in the mid 70's, one of my brothers bought an little Renault. If I remember right, it was called a "Caravell" . Not sure I spelled that right, but that was one of the tiniest cars I've ever seen. It was even smaller than a MG Midget that he had in 1969.
George Gooding Caravelle....cute little rear engined car. Based on. dauphine mechanicals. Pretty advanced stuff for the late 50s early 60s. My mother had a Dauphine and the mechanics at the gas station would come out to the gas pump just to look at the engine. Spare tire was in a drawer under the front bumper.
Nice to see you back, oh yeah Michigan got that horrid winter vortex! Supposed to be due for another storm later this week... I hope no more after that. We want spring!
Dang Ken, I kelp watching those icicles hanging over your head and hoping some of them didn't break off and hit you in the noggin ! Would be a shame to break one of those purty things.... not yo head... the icicle, know it wouldn't bother that hard head ! 😁 With that much of the froze rain you got maybe ya need to trade one of vehicles for a snowmobile..... or hey even better put some tracks on your rat rod ! Now see there I'm an old arky and can come up with some crazy.... uumm, GOOD ideas too ! 💡😉 Thanks for sharing and take care. 👍 👍
Hey Ken. You forgot the snow tires. We are expecting around 2 feet as well here in Ontario Canada. Watch those icicles at the door don't stab you in the head. That would leave a mark. Ha, you talk about a mess. Check out the mess I have on my next video. I've had too many projects on the go and not stopping to clean up after each one. Thanks for sharing.
Rat handles the snow better than my minivan. Got stuck at the end of the driveway...closer walk to the house than the end of your driveway, thankfully.
wheres ya chains?i had a Dauphin back when I was an apprentice. pretty rusty damn thing. I rememberma date putting her foot right the floor when getting out .😁 And when i had to crank start it,which was often everyone thought it was hilarious when I poked the crank in the back of the car...🚓😊
Hay, you know what they call a rat in the snow? Yup, a Snow Rat. Get it? Baaaaaahaha. Better You, than me, my friend. I like my 83 Caribbean degrees. 🌴🌴🏔🏔🌨🌨🌬🌬⛄. Peace. Preciate cha!
I heard you were getting a lot of snow.now I see it on your vid.not like brown was over.ha ha the ( mess).glad you are doing well.what could go wrong. Thanks
That clip reminded me of trying to ride my bike in the snow in my younger days. Does MrHeavyShevy have a messy tool bench? I never noticed...lol Fix the light thats out. Don't you just love the KeyBoard Commandos hahaha
Man this snow storm has been causing havoc in Central Washington down through Central and Eastern Oregon. Was wondering how you were doing. Keep warm!!! Here in Western Oregon? Well RAIN, RAIN and more RAIN. Oh well. See Ya!!
Ok, I'll admit it. During JIMMY carter s gas crisis I bought a Renault Le car! Thing was a blast till a guy ran a red light and I T boned him! Poor thing never got right again. Some guy bought it from me tho and I finished the payments, so, happy day. You got a lot of snow there, we got warm weather and rain in the peoples republic of Pennsylvania! Take care, and G'day to you and yours.
We are getting it up here this week too, couple of feet in the last few days. Was braggin we got nothin' this year, then bang we are hit. See buds all over the place here... high season for you soon eh ?
Sir i do have to say i love your videos. I do have a question are those big 702 v12 hard to find. I had a leed on a 67 chevy 1/2 with a v6 mint condition and i didn't do crap
GMCs had the v6...not chevys. (unless someone had put one in a chevy) mostly 305 cu in.v6s. I have 4 of them. out of the 5000 v12s built it is estimated there are less than 200 left so. yes they are very hard to find.
Do you normally get a lot of snow in the winter ? Since u have a blower probly so huh!!! We've had more than usual and colder here in Kansas!! Ready for spring!!
unfortunately Sparky was killed by coyotes. Joshua made his debut on Instagram but I forgot I hadn't introduced him on youtube. I'll do that in the next video. thanks for stopping by
That driveway of yours is mighty narrow. Glad you are taking care when you are doing your maintenance to it. The Renault ad was fun, "it's got a city horn.... and a country horn!" Ha ha! Ol Rockabilly looks like it'll go pretty good in the snow. Oh, and I hope you got your ring fixed 😀
Well dang the luck , suppose you can find somebody to help you lift that set for your ring ..........and who would be able to remount it . Thanks again
I dig how the Rocakabilly Rat plows the snow! Those icicles on the eve of your Shop remind me of a great big Catfish Mouth!
You sure are a joy to watch !! Been watching all your re-runs and like listening to you play your music !! Keep up the fun God Bless !
Weldin without a hood keeps that sun tan look year round!!
My Dad bought a Dauphine in 1959 drove back and forth to D.C. every day we could fit 5 of us in there.
My dad had one of those Renault Dauphines, he called it a " Dolphin", it kinda wasn't suited for the " harsh American life" And sorta just failed in every way very shortly! An experiment that failed miserably!

Thanks Ken for checking in. Stay safe and stay warm. Spring is coming! Love this channel! Chuck in NE Kansas
holy cow Ken you Survived the working under a raised loader!!!!! them ice cycles look painful though..
im way more concerned with my driveway in a whiteout than I am those icicles or walking under a raised loader LOL
Love to see all the snow, but it was 85 here today and I was in the pool by 9:00 am here in Florida. Love your videos keep up the good work
I enjoyed watching every episode of you building the dodgilac but that little rockabilly truck still has my heart. Those are some serious icicles over your door. stay warm and safe
thanks! the rockabilly build is also documented here
I have watched all your episodes on both builds at least twice. keep up the very entertaining videos@@1963impala2drWaylonWire
Man that car looks so cool in the snow with the head lights on! Awesome video sir!
was fun to hear you call your rig a "Dodgallac", my Uncle had a "Fordalet", a Ford truck he dropped a Chevy engine in, good times, keep posting !
Playing in the snow with a '32 Chevrolet RatRod, brilliant, this was a show about FUN !
Be safe with all that weather! When you drove the truck to park it looked like a great Christmas card photo.
Cold but beautiful
Nothing but fun on the mountain! More than enough to keep a body busy. Be safe.
I noticed that you pulled some of that snow off the back of the garage, that's a good start ...

We are getting it here too Ken. Temps below freezing and snow off and on for the next 5 days. Stay warm and dry Ken.
🎶 Dashing through the snow, in the Rocka Billy Chevrolet 🎶. Be careful out there buddy
watch out for those killer ice cycles
That's extra work for setting up the camera for us thank you for for sharing and going through the trouble of filming. That's pretty cool documenting.
On your way out the garage I kinda thought you would raise the bucket and knock down that snow and ice avalanche waitin ta fall.
Good vid Brother stay safe and stay warm.
I enjoyed the show about nothing. One of these days I’m gonna clean my workbench spotless.
oh dont do that. you'll never be able to find anything!
This was a show about winter wonderland fun in a rat rod and winter shop time. It was perfect 👌. Stay warm and safe Ken and keep up the good work.

Always glad to see you again!! When I was a kid my neighbors actually had a Renault Dauphine and it was one ugly car!
Holy moly cuz .... I got a chill just watchin! Short sleeve weather down here in southern Mississippi!
Be safe when plowing snow down the curvy road Ken.
And congratulations to the new cat !

Gotta watch out that damn icicle come down a poke a hole in your gizzard.
Just love the sound of that hot water 6.
Sure did enjoy it . That's a lot of good nothing . Especially the old rat rod in the snow.
Stay safe and warm Ken. Car season is just around the bend.

Yeah from the pictures, your driveway would cause a lot of pucker factor I think! Be safe, warm and thanks for sharing.
Ken, take us for a jaunt in the hooptie. The 8spd AWD wonder buggy
I think you should make a rat rod drifter. Lol it would be great in the snow

I'm a little short on snow plowing videos this year! Since Peeks in Georgia! Stay safe Ken don't want to hear you took a tumble down the valley!

My uncle Melvin had a Dauphine. Back in the sixties before everyone called them Reneaus! It was just a funny little Renault
where I grew up , us hillbillys calle them a reNALT haha
...Your video about nothing is a good one. Feel free to make more anytime. They will be watched. Thanks for keeping us entertained.
You sure it shouldn't be renamed "A snow about nothing"..?...I've never seen conditions like that.
Gotta love that Renault!!

The plowing would have been a good video. We don't have snow here, so I end up watching snow plowing videos.
most folks consider it boring
Oh man, you ain't got the tires for that.. hahaha...

@@1963impala2drWaylonWire I was thinkin' about that. You do donuts there you might wind up down in the valley....
