As an Ex BBC Video Editor (admittedly from a very very long time back), I'd just like to say what a BRILLIANT idea. Mobile Studio and Post Production Suite for the win, indeed! I'm super jealous as I've always wanted to build something like that. Really good luck with it. In fact I don't know if you are already thinking of something like this, but I'll warrant that with the growth in youtube channels needing the occasional bit of expert production backup for special shoots, there might even be a market for a bit of hiring it out as a mobile production facilities house.
I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I find the sight of an iconic RouteMaster rotting in a field upsetting. Pete, you do a fantastic job giving the love back to these wonderful vehicles and wouldn’t be surprised if you’re nominated for a MBE sometime in the future.
I love the idea. If you could make everything modular, you could easily switch it between mobile office/storage/bar and also bus with seats in! I think you need some bus seats in it, or at least seats upholstered in the same.
I love how you respond to your comments, nice to know a content creator actually listens to their followers. Great work cant wait to see you get underway again !!
having watched your channel over the highs and lows of CV19, not to mention the pink primer on the bus you used (how can we forget the pink !) so pleased you can find a great use for the bus. good luck and can't wait to see the progress.
This is undoubtedly your best vid yet! Honest and personal. My son is a TH-camr. And I understand how much goes on behind the scenes,. which many viewers don't necessarily realise. Good on you Pete! Fab
This is by far my favourite you tube channel, its the only one that I watch every single episode. Having watched every episode since the beginning, looking forward to seeing more new content.
Brilliant idea Pete, you'll have a super cool "office" right among the buses so you can do the vehicle maintenance and office admin all in the same place. Plus it's mobile if you need it. You're right she's already helped to grown your business ages before even being finished. Great to see your positive energy, nice one 👍👍
What a lovely bus. Thank you for saving, cleaning and testing it out to see if it will run. Good luck with the remaining restoration of this beautiful bus.
Thank you Pete. I am always impressed with your passion and patience. But like you say if you start to lose sight of the end game it can be devastating. I'm glad that you are sufficiently positive to be able to adapt to changes in direction with relative ease. Good on you!
The childish excited expression on your face when you said 'Pete & His Bus Operations Hub' showed how impressed you were with your own epic idea!!🤣🤣 Don't ever stop being that excited about your ideas Pete!! Hope you're looking after yourself, let me know when your back up Lincoln way! 😊
A great idea to use the bus in this way. It creates a seperate work place that is seperate from everything else. It means your personal home and home life is not disrupted by the effects of Pete and his bus which is better for all your family and yourself by physically and mentaly.
YES!. at last. My own resolve was starting to waver. Glad you are back on track. Just make sure you dont spend too much time in the new space. Your family will miss you/.
Super recap Pete - seems only yesterday I was binge-watching the first 5 episodes or so - time really does fly ! Amazing to go back over ALL of that work - realy is a LABOUR of Love, and almost all without a dust mask !😂 Nice idea on the flexible workspace plan - just don‘t make it too comfy that she stops rolling, and take her out as much as you can - pleeeeeeeease bring along for the ride ! Keep ’em comin‘! JCHK
Excellent update! The video editing is already top-notch, and the chaos-inspired creation process makes it even more impressive. Can't wait to see where this project goes! Best of luck from Hamburg!
Being someone that was born in 60's south London, where i spent my childhood riding on these and RT's on nearly a daily basis, it is amazing just how many memories they bring back now. So glad that thanks to people like yourself, we still get to see these buses in 2024.
I'd been wondering how I found you in the first place, and of course it was the first lockdown when I watched a madman paint a Routemaster by himself. Splendid work sir. Looking forward to the new future of 'and his bus' :D
Also a idea; make it a Barista lounge bus. Nice seating and a top automatic coffee machine. Next to a cold vendor machine with pellegrino etc. You can park it at a venue and just walk away.
At the end of the day mate, it’s “Pete and his bus” not “Pete and his bar bus”!! We are all on this journey and you’ve spent the time and money to save her which is the brilliant and we have all been on this journey with you!!
Your videos are always worth waiting for. What a great use for your project bus. Hope it goes really well and look forward to the next instalment. Peter.
Great idea Pete, she is a very nice looking bus and a credit to all the hard work you’ve put into her, looking forward to watching the rest of her journey 👍🏻
I'm so glad 2730 is a live and well. Also, she still has a future with you. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with her next. Keep up the good work.
Superb Pete a great solution and being honest exactly sensible to have a spare vehicle for your bar business just in case of a breakdown. Look forward to more New Pete and his Bus soon. Take care sir.
So great to see the Pete And His Bus Bus looking fresh and ready as a blank canvas for the new venture, and that you have your mojo back with it. Looking forwards to seeing this one develop. I think there could be a great opportunity to hire this out for outside broadcasts, film and television production if you get the fit out right. Best of luck with it.
I'm super happy that 2730 has found a purpose again! Myself and so many of your other subscribers came here in the first place because of it, I can't wait to see the operations centre build come together!
Huge work. You put soul and sweat on that. (I had forgotten the manual riveter you had before the new one). Glad to know RML2730 will be keeped in the barn. Cheers.
I’ve been watching your channel from the very first episode Pete. Always enjoy watching them. I’m really looking forward to more of them with the project bus!
Glad to see you’re keeping the OG bus on the channel, I was wondering whether you’d got diverted with all the other ventures. Like the idea of a combined work and leisure space, thought you were going to say you were going to turn it into a mobile home for trips with the family!
Enjoyed the recap of the resto and a pat the back is in order for sorting the engine yourself. I think this is the first time I’ve seen the bus outside since it’s repaint. You’ve done such a great job and you can see how well the black wheels work. Appreciate you getting us up to speed on your new plans.
@ AEC wheel badges (without the three holes of course) and nut rings are in order. Oh, also split rims for the front wheels since it won’t be driven around as much.
Love it mate! I chanced upon P&hisB whist sat having lunch at my desk during Covid, back tracked to the start of the escaped and I don't think I've missed an episode since. Great to see that you have a plan for her and I'm sure you'll pull it off. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes instantly desired as a literal mobile office for a small company that has projects around the country. Looking forward to seeing how things progress.
