@@simpayshenaides yeah, I guess that could have shown more fighting and killing from the 40 day war... I guess they wanted to focus more on Furiosa's revenge... still toes not detractorii from being a good movie. 🍻
In theaters, I attempted to do a kill count but only of Dementus’s followers. Because so many died, I could only do individual deaths at a time and break even at times. In the end, I got around 183 Maura using bikers, but Dementus probably had close to 1,000 followers!!!
The first time I tried it was at a Chuck Norris movie. Missing in action part two: the beginning I think it was. Crazy name but the 80's were a different time. Think I got to around 130 when I gave up lol
@patwiggins6969 perhaps I will try and find it so you'll have a definite answer. My first Chuck Norris movie was Lone Wolf McQuade, but considering I am not from the US, I can't really say when that movie came to my country. All i know is that i had a blast watching him kill bad guys 😀
I think the casualty count of the 40 day war is probably pretty close to if not over 2000. All of Dementus's men got wiped (I'm sure some deserted but probably not many), but there's not many war boys left by Fury Road. Joe had nearly 1,000 battle ready boys at this point. In Fury Road, we see like about 100 or so in his war party, and it's said by both one of the wives and Joe himself that there's no one left to really defend The Citadel, just young war pups. The numbers must have been pretty small if after 15 years of normal wasteland attrition he only had around 100.
I'd say it's a good estimation. However, the idea of kill count is to count how many kills or bodies we can actually see in the movie. I also made an estimation because we can se piles of corpses in the background and no matter how much I zoomed in even in 2k I was unable to determine with 100% accuracy how many bodies there were. I'd say more important are those that can be counted as we get to see them dying or we can presume they died.
Sequels are good. Trilogies are good. What marvel did with the avengers was good. I really love this movie but I am done with franchises. Just basically because everyone has to nitpick these things to death. Like how does this fit in the extended universe? And I say fuck the extended universe! Just give me a good movie for fucks sake
