@@MathEizen nintendo does have a tendency to force people to play the game the way they want you to play it instead of giving options, we would be lucky if a mainline mario game came with the option to at least change the volume of music
Yo! Full length Math video essay on Mario Wonder, that's awesome! Like you mentioned, I definitely think the worst part about the game is the bland levels when you skip the wonder flower. Making wonder effects optional kinda makes bland sections unavoidable since they have to plan the level for the wonder effect taking place. Otherwise though, it's obviously a great game overall.
So some really good other mario games are Mario odyssey (imo the best mario game), super mario 3d world and bowers fury and super pario maker 2. U could also go for new super mario bros u deluxe, that has some coold 2d levels as well.
I did realize a few times i was repeating myself quite a bit that is true but my standpoints still stand about the game. I think i already tightened the script quite enough, if u just don't enjoy this type of content then don't watch it. I think my way of bringing it is good enough and i have no idea what richness you are talking about at all.
it's so weird how yoshi is forced to be easy mode when they could have just made it a badge

Haven't made a lot of game specific video essays yet tbh. but ye mario wonder is still great!

Tighten your script and add some actual content. The way you deliver it robs it of richness.
