    interesting.. maybe I’ll head to Walmart tonight pick up one of these drivers terret apart and see if there’s any difference from batch two batch..
    excellent video and great information! Really appreciate the sneak peek on the internal workings! 🎉👍

      It's a curious one, don't understand y Walmart/Hypertough would risk all the progress they've made with these second gen tools over saving a few pennies on just one in the line. The rest are such a step up for them in quality.

    The switch is just sending a control signal to the board. The switching is happening in the motor driver. The switch is telling a microprocessor to run the motor. So that switch is handling very little current. Milliamperes. Typical logic signals are 10 ma. That's 0.01 of an ampere or 10 times less than that switch is rated for. Which is why they can use it. Because it's fine.

      While that's true, it's also true that computer mice have been having big issues with cheap switches. At 1.8v current is super low...but that also causes issues with just minor resistance as the contact wears since it turns into capacitance. Capacitance is a problem for the microprocessor reading it. Then add in dust that abrades the cheaper/thinner coatins on the contacts and you get longevity issues.

      @@hydrocarbon82 I don't know why computer mice can't handle inputs better. I'm sure there's a reason. I just don't know what that reason is. I do know that switch bounce can be adequately addressed though. For whatever reason mice just don't do it well. It's not because mice don't want to miss clicks either. Because switch bounce happens at a speed well beyond human perception. But electronics are sensitive to it. I consider what's going on there a zero effs flaw. If they really cared they'd fix it.

    Assuming most buyers of Hyper Tough tools are non-pros who only occasionally use the tools, what would Walmart's motivation be to make the impact driver any better, thus lessening their profits?

      It really seemed like with the rest of the black label tools they made a legitimate effort to step out of the super budget space in terms of quality. For example the mid/high torque impacts are more similar to a Bauer from HF than a Warrior but I guess if we get a couple wins it's better than none. Thanks for watching

    seems like the impacts are really well made but the drill and drivers are pretty bad I wonder how the other tools like the recip saw are built

      Good question, I intend to find out.I Was so impressed by the quality of the impacts I assumed all the gen 2 stuff was going to be decent. Now the question is what else in the line is good or garbage. Thanks for watching

    Bro no crap there built cheap because they are cheap how do you think there selling them so cheap only people this helps out is people who buy harbor freight cheap tools never seen any cheap tool last in real world jobs for home owners who use them once or twice a year is who these tools are made for not the daily driver

      You should check out the teardown video on the rest of the black label hypertough stuff, the rest of the line has substantially better internals. Seems Walmart made an effort to build some closer to mid range than super budget. This is the only one so far to miss the mark for whatever reason. By all means if you have the financial ability to buy higher end that's a great thing for you. However there is no shortage of guys trying to enter a trade that need to know if their $50-100 is getting them something that'll hold up a while or not. If for no other reason than they may not be able to spend that money again In the short term and the 3 year walk in warranty is enticing to many. Thanks for watching

    Its a 30$ driver, what do you expect to get?

    • @ToolsNTechBTR
      @ToolsNTechBTR  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah you make a point but if they needed to make it a $40 driver to keep the quality at the same level as the impact wrenches seems to me the customers would have gladly payed the extra. Thanks for watching

      @@ToolsNTechBTR some people are pretty price conscious. A $10 increase from $30 to $40 is a 33% price increase. That is substantial.
