I've done a few tests using a battery tester - without exception, all of my HT batteries have been showing consistently about 10% capacity over what is listed - the 20v 4AH showed 4.4 AH at a 4A load. YMMV, but I'm pretty impressed honestly with mine.
I think we all are, that's what makes this so strange. The only one I've found so far that seems to not be up to par is the 2ah that comes with the impact driver. Along with quality of the tool itself. Almost like they're making just that tool in a different factory. Thanks for watching
Shenanigans! Fair must be in town. I have a few of the 12v hyper tough. Thinking about doing a cell swap in the 1.5 ah battery 'cause they barely run the tool. Decent quality and super cheap! Walmart got us!
Is there a YAT logo on the Board? If so that is one of the better factories for the batteries. Most likely Walmart gave a factory a price and they just spec’d out whatever was in the budget for the 2ah batteries.
I'm not understanding why they would be a same..... The impact kit is like $50 for batt and tool, not surprised they are cutting some corners there. Having beefier electronics in the more expensive tool that needs it , again, makes perfect sense. Why would they put a overrated power board with extra protection, on such a small pack? I'm really not following the gripe here....
The hope would be if your buying the line they would include the same quality battery with all the tools of said line. I've checked the other 2ah kit batteries as well as the retail (buy a spare) battery and the rest appear follow the same updated quality standard. Only the driver and it's kitted batt are sub par.
