This episode always reminds me of being a 9 year old child and going to work with my Dad. I found the biggest diamond ever. I wrapped it up and gave it to my Mom for Christmas. She thanked me for it.
My Dad was a Construction Superintendent. He was putting up an addition to a glass factory.

Kinda nice that since he's basically as old as Hezekiah now, he's still just as silly and a big kid as ever❤❤

Condensed Version: Many years ago, I did a kindness or two for an elderly blind gentleman who had befriended an eight-year-old me. When he passed away, he left me his entire collection of coins. Sadly, my father pocketed the collection; but I still have the memory of a wonderful old gentleman.

@@gregh7400 Since your father was a 'prick,' then he was my father's devoted protege... his title was: His Imperial Assholiness, king of child-beaters and thieves. All sarcasm aside, I can't believe I gave him as much respect as I did. It seems we only wise up after they are gone. Now that they are in heaven, hell, purgatory, or wherever, I hope they realize just how horrendous their actions were. One thing I learned from my father; was how *NOT* to treat my children. Take care, Greg.

Dick plays old men so well, in the first Mary Poppins, the second Mary Poppins and this. He's 97 now and doesn't look a thing like it!

I remember this one very well, a favorite from long ago! Thought about what it would be like in Rob's position. Very happy to have all those old coins. And the awesome photo of Lincoln with Rob's baby Hezekiah relative and father! Pleased that the writers kept Rob's and Laura's good characters truly unselfish by donating that valuable photo to a museum for all to see and for safekeeping!
Thanks and blessings for sharing this gem! 🙏👏👍👍♥️

Uncle Hezekiah cousin was pretty dumb because $65k worth of property (which in the 60's, $65,000 was like having $650,000 today) and the other relative the 50k glasses. So even though he left Robert his "Most prized possessions" but he actually left a lot of opportunities for the other family members to invest and get rich themselves if they used the money and properties wisely.

Rob said "He sang 'Me and My Shadow.' Why?" Sally said "Maybe he left you Ted Lewis." That was funny! 😁. In the 1940s, Ted Lewis and his Orchestra were very famous. "Me and My Shadow" was a song that he sang then. I watched him in an Abbott and Costello movie on my dvd.

The thing that is stunning is how they are all so careless. It's not good for people to finger the coins and the photograph and beining it by taking it out of the frame. Total indifference to these treasures. If anyone left me something, I would still have them and they would be worth a whole lot more because I would care about them and place the coins in air tight capsules as well as seal the important original photo
