I found your videos when I was researching my future semester in Korea, and I have to say ... I came for the facts but I sticked around for the utter and complete adorableness. You guys are the best.
Rachel & Jun I'm pretty sure you can find Warawara in Japan (psssstttt because it's actually a Japanese owned pub...runs away) and then you can take us to it when we come back to Japan. :D
Ermahgerd! You guise are here again. I love to see some of my favorite TH-camrs comment on each others videos. I went to sleep watching your video and can wake up to see their video! Eeek! *filled with so much joy*
Korean bars are very different than Western Bars, so we're gonna give you some tips on how to survive Korean bars in this week's Food Adventure Program!
Eat Your Kimchi I wonder, the kind of bar you went to, if a small group of girls go do they not get hit on??? That sounds like paradise if no ones going to bug you
Eat Your Kimchi Hi! If at these bars you go with a group of friends and buying food is mandatory, why would anyone go to a bar rather than a restaurant?
Kyl You can still pick up on people, especially groups of all guys and all girls can see each other as being single. The atmosphere is more "flirty" or fun. You can also meet new people by getting them to join in with your drinking games. Simon and I have made new Korean friends by just asking them to "flick" the soju lid for us and by the end of the night we were teaching them to play Gin Rummy (the card game) while we all shared ramen and drank soju. Fun times! :D
Thanks to EYK, I now know why I can't stand drinking in the US. Bars in the US do not have alcoholic pineapples and don't serve calamari and doshirak. Our system is so FLAWED.
Back to your best! These functional, lifestyle videos are very helpful and enjoyable. I enjoy your insightful, cultural nuance videos (such as the eating disorder video!) but these videos are MONEY.
wow. Definitely different from western bars. Though I could go for the pineapple. Yay being legally able to drink. Can't wait to visit Korea. Especially since I will finally be able to visit your café
Hey guys, I love your videos! I would love to see a video about traditional korean breakfast OR about where you can get modern breakfasts in town around Korea. Are there breakfast cafés? Is ''brunch'' a thing in korea? Because when I'm in Seoul, Everything seems to open only at lunch time or very late, so it was hard for me to get breakfast. Thumbs up if you want to see this!!
Hii! 301 clubbb! I just want to let you guys know how much your videos influence my life, you guys make me smile and laugh in every video you upload. You have really, really helped me out through difficult times and I really want to express my gratitude for you:) You guys are amazing:) Great video by the way! haha
I don't know if it's just me or because I'm not wearing my glasses right now, but is this in 60fps...? It looks good! Makes the foodporn shots look sooooo gooooood.
Ho Bar, gets me every time. XD Believe it or not, back when I lived in Alabama, the better bars in my town were "up" too. You had to go to the second or third floor. One only had a giant, elegant A in the window to show it was even there--it was surrounded by apartments and other businesses. I love the neon lights Asian metro areas love to use!
MY LOOKING HOLE THEY ARE NOW CURSED WITH HOW GOOD ThIS HD video IS .. watching videos on youtube well never be the same ..... thanks Simon and Martina and everyone at eyk =(
It used to make me vaguely puke-y, but after watching more videos with it I've become really spoiled and love it. Especially when I watch via my Apple TV when I take over the giant livingroom TV screen. Gorgeous.
About the mandatory sidedish, we have something almost equivalent in Canada. Like, if you go to a bar, it's alright to only order drinks, but if you go to a resto-bar, you have to order food if you wanna drink. Maybe it's a bit similar since, the way I see it, bar is Korea are more like loungy "late night" restaurant.
I love the sharing culture. To go out with friends to eat and drink and share it all is awesome, more food with drinks, drinks alone is boring. :D I love that bell. The other day I had an awkward situation at a resturant because the waitress didn't notice me and my friends to pay for the food. I tried to get her attention, by getting eye contact, sort of waving and gently calling for her. But no... so I went up and approached them while my friends were putting on jackets to pay by the bar. They thought we tried to not pay for the food even though I was approaching them to pay, and started to yell at me. That's why I love the idea of a bell, for every resturant/bar. That would be great.
I also liked getting the kiwi soju if it's fresh. I've never seen a fresh pineapple one like that. A lot of places just use juice or syrup. TIP: If the menu says 생과일, then that means it'll be fresh and not fake and shit.
The first bar you went up to was next to my favorite bar Vent. That was a bar in the basement to the right of the place you went up to. They moved now and I think they're called The Convent or something like that.... Ask the owner for a cement mixer and ask him if Jeff taught him that shot. :)
Ordering food at the same time is pretty smart, since ingesting just alcohol can be turmoil for the body and it's always suggested to eat something before 'drinking'. Makes you more tolerant for more alcohol too.
+MusicMaster If I had to guess, I'd say soju.. but it could be makkoli. It looks a lot like a blended watermelon drink that uses soju, so that's why I made soju my first guess.
Damn, this video's quality is AMAZING. It's so fluid, looks like blu-ray lol. And I'm only watching it in 720p too. It's like what my TV does to regular videos since it's 100Hz (better for gaming) instead of the regular 50Hz, so things look a lot more fluid/higher frame rate than on my monitor.
I was reading this article and apparently there's this really great Canada themed bar in seoul called the Rocky Mountain Tavern, you guys should visit!
There are different styles of bars. This is a more of a traditional Korean bar but there are bars like Mike's Cabin and Little Cuba which are in downtown Shinchon. These bars cater more to foreign expectations of bars but When I went to this bar (the one they filmed in) the food is delicious. Totally worth the price!
That's funny, because here in Hoegi (around Kyung Hee Univ.) every bar serves long tea islands and other 'western' drinks. Now I'm super curious to go to a bar in Hongdae :3
Okay, so after this, I really want to go to a Korean bar. I don't drink, but the Anju looks so appetizing! Plus, some bars offer no socializing? No getting hit on by creepy drunk men at night? SIGN ME UP!
halal summary of this episode: don't. haha that lunch box looked amazing T_T maybe you guys can talk more about old school foods? that box made me wonder if there's more heartwarming nostalgea foods served all over korea for that sole purpose?
How are Korean bars different from other bars? Here in Mexico they are pretty much the same as Korean bars , you go sit in an area just fr your friends and you have to order food to order drinks ( they are some exeptions )
Ladies and Gentlemen, the under 301 club is now closed. Thank you for trying. Hopefully we will see you there for tomorrow's video!
Eat Your Kimchi Im still in it!:D
Eat Your Kimchi i missed it again QQ
Eat Your Kimchi Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo missed it, dang it. :(
Eat Your Kimchi I made it into the 301+ club! Yay! Awww...
Eat Your Kimchi Dammit, I forgot to stay up to get into the under 301 club! Oh well. Tonight I shall.
I found your videos when I was researching my future semester in Korea, and I have to say ... I came for the facts but I sticked around for the utter and complete adorableness. You guys are the best.
I want that pineapple drink right now
Rachel & Jun I'm pretty sure you can find Warawara in Japan (psssstttt because it's actually a Japanese owned pub...runs away) and then you can take us to it when we come back to Japan. :D
Ermahgerd! You guise are here again. I love to see some of my favorite TH-camrs comment on each others videos. I went to sleep watching your video and can wake up to see their video! Eeek! *filled with so much joy*
Eat Your Kimchi Omg it's literally 笑笑 (LaughLaugh). Let's all go to LaughLaugh for some drinks!
Eat Your Kimchi I've been to Warawara in Japan, but I don't recall seeing any pineapples...Sadly :(
Rachel & Jun It's called...LAUGH LAUGH!!??? That's amazing.
Korean bars are very different than Western Bars, so we're gonna give you some tips on how to survive Korean bars in this week's Food Adventure Program!

The under 301 club is open for a short while longer. Will you make it in?
Nope :(
Made it!
Eat Your Kimchi Yes made it :D haha my achievement of the day :D
Eat Your Kimchi Wooot! Hi from Ottawa!
Eat Your Kimchi I MADE IT! WITH MY BUNNY ON MY TUMMY! AAARGHH the joy
Wanna know something cool about this video for the camera nerds out there? This was shot at 50,000 ISO. FIFTY THOUSAND ISO! Cool, eh?
Eat Your Kimchi As a fellow camera nerd, that's freaking amazing!!! Technology man! Crazy stuff now-a-days.......And now I sound old......
Eat Your Kimchi I guess that answer the question I just posted a second ago! xD
Eat Your Kimchi But that quality man! If I shoot anything above 320 ISO it looks like I used a potato. Sadness. :(
Eat Your Kimchi Did you guys shoot in 60fps? It looks so drama like..
Eat Your Kimchi a7s ???
"I remember when you used to be nice to me.." LOL sounds like my boyfriend.
Rewatching all the videos, still relatable and still one of the best contents out there.
I accidentally read the title as "Tips for Surviving Korean Bears"
I think that is also a valid video idea.
***** Step 1: kick it in the balls
Step 2: Pray to Jesus
Step 3: Play the armpit bagpipe
Step 4: Snot rocket in its direction

I'm glad you like em! I'm worried videos like this are too...Wikipedia-ish and a bit boring. Hopefully more people feel how you do :)
Eat Your Kimchi i enjoy this type of videos
Eat Your Kimchi Nope! These videos are just as fun as all your others.
wow. Definitely different from western bars. Though I could go for the pineapple. Yay being legally able to drink. Can't wait to visit Korea. Especially since I will finally be able to visit your café
bri gomez Me too! I'm definitely heading over to the cafe if I go there. I'm planning my trip for early next year hopefully! ^_^
bri gomez Wait... they have a cafe?
Yep! They have a wank giving directions to it. From what I see and hear it is amazing.
bri gomez
What? Oh, I'm so making that a stop when I go to Korea this summer! :D
That is going to be the first stop I make

I love how you guys uploaded this on the day of my 21st birthday. :)
Ehmehgerd I actually love the anti-social part about Korean bars hahaah LOVE IT!
Hii! 301 clubbb! I just want to let you guys know how much your videos influence my life, you guys make me smile and laugh in every video you upload. You have really, really helped me out through difficult times and I really want to express my gratitude for you:) You guys are amazing:) Great video by the way! haha
-mi Shi- I'm so happy! Thank you for watching our videos. I'm glad they could help you out :D
Just gotta say this, your videos are always amazing :) Lots of hugs from Norway!
I don't know if it's just me or because I'm not wearing my glasses right now, but is this in 60fps...? It looks good! Makes the foodporn shots look sooooo gooooood.

I love the neon lights Asian metro areas love to use!
I'm not even old enough to drink lol. But it's Eat Your Kimchi so I'm sure the video will make my day, love you guys!
밤의 천사 It's ok, you don't have to drink at these bars. The food is better than the drinks here :D
I laughed so hard when Simon sang "I LOVE THE COCO" at the end ;D This song is so often stuck in my head... haha
Oh Simon you are eating it all while Martina talks... classic of Simon lol!!! Love u guys :) greetings from chester Virginia US
Leigh is crying as shes watching this, I bet. So cruel :C
Alex Dood She'll get her revenge in editing >:}

MY LOOKING HOLE THEY ARE NOW CURSED WITH HOW GOOD ThIS HD video IS .. watching videos on youtube well never be the same ..... thanks Simon and Martina and everyone at eyk =(
You should do a video on the other type of bars as well please. I think a lot of people were hoping to see more about those.
1080 with 60fps?
All my EYK dreams have come true.
moonykun63 I'm glad you like the 60fps, though I'm not sure how I feel about it. It seems so...odd. Like Canadian News or something...
It used to make me vaguely puke-y, but after watching more videos with it I've become really spoiled and love it. Especially when I watch via my Apple TV when I take over the giant livingroom TV screen. Gorgeous.

The picture is so nice! Love the new camera! Fun video too
Did you guys buys a new camera? the quality is so fluid and sharp!!!
Yesss!!! Another long fun video!
I love the sharing culture. To go out with friends to eat and drink and share it all is awesome, more food with drinks, drinks alone is boring. :D

When Simon said "free birthday cake" it reminded me of Martina's very alcohol driven birthday celebration with the Singaporean fashion people.
11:14 here in Australia Got an 8am lecture tomorrow but EYKKKKK
Ikr i have to get up for school tomorrow but stuff that.
I also liked getting the kiwi soju if it's fresh. I've never seen a fresh pineapple one like that. A lot of places just use juice or syrup. TIP: If the menu says 생과일, then that means it'll be fresh and not fake and shit.
xDareDBx That's why we like this place: they do it right in front of you to prove it's not syrup :D
ooh i'd prefer it if bars were like this, i'd definitely go more often :3
The first bar you went up to was next to my favorite bar Vent. That was a bar in the basement to the right of the place you went up to. They moved now and I think they're called The Convent or something like that.... Ask the owner for a cement mixer and ask him if Jeff taught him that shot. :)
The camera quality is GREAT!
Loved the video. Thank you for vlogging.
I LITERALLY JUST WOKE UP AND I'M NOT READY FOR THIS VIDEO
Did you guys get a new camera? The quality is insane O^O Thumbs up!
Ordering food at the same time is pretty smart, since ingesting just alcohol can be turmoil for the body and it's always suggested to eat something before 'drinking'. Makes you more tolerant for more alcohol too.
"I love the coco"
"That's not a coco Simon"
"I love the pineapple"
That made me laugh so hard XD!
You guys seem like the greatest couple to ever exist haha #goals ... p.s love your channel!!!
Oooh is that a new cam? The quality seems different. Nice!
What lens did you guys used for this video? I love the quality of it. Thank you for your help!
Oh my gosh, I MUST go here!!!
oooo. I like this video style. It's awesome! Is this the new camera working or a new editing style that the EYK team is working on? (Leigh?!)
would like to see a "tips for surviving the club scene" as well if you guys haven't made one yet! :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTINA!!
What did your pineapple drink have? Like the kind of alcohol? I wanna look up how to maybe make it
+MusicMaster If I had to guess, I'd say soju.. but it could be makkoli. It looks a lot like a blended watermelon drink that uses soju, so that's why I made soju my first guess.

FOOD LOOKS SO GOOD. TAKE ME THERE NOW!
Happy early birthday, Martina! :D
Omg the pineapple look so good especially that fresh, no preservation crap.
That drink looks AMAZINGGGG.
Is this the same in clubs? In that they only sell the local drinks? Or are there specific clubs for specific things?
I will experience this in a couple of weeks. YEAH! I needed these tips and just in time.
The bars and coffee shops seem to have really nice interiors there
I kinda laughed when Martina pointed at the Warawara glas :D
It's a type of eagle that lives on the ABC islands. Just thought it was funny ^.^
😍😍 I love you guys' videos!
Simon's sweater is on point.
This just made me hungry. Thank you Simon and Martina. ._.

The ending just killed it BAHHAHAHA XDDDDD "That's not a coco, Simon." BAAAAAAAAA!!!! I love you two!

I love you Simon and Martina! Please visit Southern Californian soon 💖
I like your videos and the food looked so good =D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTINA ♡
do most restaurants have pictures of the food on the menu? because if they do, it makes it a lot easier for foreigners who can't really read korean
the quality of this video is really freaking me out O_O
could you guys do an updated video on Korean street food?
halal summary of this episode: don't.
haha that lunch box looked amazing T_T
maybe you guys can talk more about old school foods? that box made me wonder if there's more heartwarming nostalgea foods served all over korea for that sole purpose?
I love your cap Simon! Where did you get it? Or is it from a fan? :)
Very nice camera!! Korean bar culture is similar to Japanese bar culture. Great video.
I need to try that pineapple drink. It looks amazing. I like pineapple juice mixed with Malibu rum, but yours looks soooo much tastier.
Hi Simon & Martina!!
Could you do a FAPFAP on Noryangjin fish market? The whole process seems so interesting!!
Thank youuuu!
How are Korean bars different from other bars? Here in Mexico they are pretty much the same as Korean bars , you go sit in an area just fr your friends and you have to order food to order drinks ( they are some exeptions )
Damn, would love to go to bar with you guys! Seems so fun
"I remember when you used to be nice to me."
That was funny!
Mmmm... pineapple alcohol!?!?! Need! Are you guys using a different camera? Looks good!!!
I so want Simon's cap!
omg!! saw that you wrote you guys got a new camera, can you guys do an updated gear video or show us the new camera you got for us nerds?? :)
