cool man...i was burning my brain trying to make an interior design with my custom families...but that was hell...doing in sketchup and converting sounds perfect for me.
I need some help, when I try to insert material on the imported layers the program do not allow me to change the materials. But when I try to change those default ones he does makes the change, but sometimes I get a tire on the same layer as a windows for example, so it does not work.
i still have the edge line in revit altough i've exported in in face only.. i have tried resoften all the edges in sketchup and exported it again, but still, the line appears.. any idea where i did wrong?
Sahudi Salim it seems that you may have to save your model without the soften edges ...as can be read on this page:knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/Revit-Model/files/GUID-989EE87F-31C2-49A0-8575-469C218E43CE-htm.html Properties: The following Trimble® SketchUp® properties are currently not supported in Revit import: “Smooth” Curved Surfaces... Hope this helps :-)
happens to me the same thing as to Bop, when importing the file appear revit all edges of the object, you will not true as it is that thanks and sorry for my English

What is the advantage of importin it by cad instead than directly from skp files in revit??
