6:49 That is the type of alarm that my elementary school had. It was built in 1995 with a Simplex 4002 but in 2014 they upgraded to an addressable Simplex 4007ES system but left the old horn/strobes. They are on continuous and still sound great to this day. None of them have been replaced and none are raspy. Fun Fact: Gentex actually made those strobe plates and Simplex rebranded them. If you look at that strobe plate, you’ll notice that the strobe on it looks pretty much the same as your Gentex alarms from the same time period.
I find it so weird that someone could have a fire alarm related collection and know so much that’s amazing I bet one day you could design your own and maybe become an expert on that field very interesting
