Nice work man, I have a '78 GMC that I'm ever so slowly working on, now after watching this I'm wanting to speed up the process... keep up the good work!
I am also restoring a 71 GMC SIERRA lwb green and white. Door and rocker rust is typical for these trucks. I wish the inside of my bed looked as good as yours. Good job.
Great project. Love what you are doing. Could you get a video happening for next stage. I like hearing restorers talk about potential problems and decisions they make. It looks straight forward but I bet it isn't!! Cheers Frank in Australia. Great music too...
Thank You from all of us arm chair mechanics ! , the work and time you have invested made this truck look amazing already . I am anxious to see the body and paint work . Please be sure and share with us . how many miles does the Truck have ? and what motor was in it ? Thank You . Ray in Pa
the bed was the only panel that had damage. I think it may be the reason the truck didn't sell back in 72'. the rust is from over 40 years sitting out in a field .
I guess living in New Mexico I am not used to seeing cars of this vintage with that much rust from sitting. Thanks and great job on the truck. I love it. Mike

From one Lambrecht owner to another, Excellent Job! Glad to see another vehicle from the auction getting restored. Keep up the good work.

THANK YOU ,,GOOD LUCK WITH YOURS
Looks like a fun project can't wait to see it completed
I like how you just restored the original parts and not buy replacement parts
I was there and wanted to do the same as you are doing. Well done sir.
Excellent job. Amazing video! But we are waiting to see the part 2 of this restoration.
Got to talk to you at the Autorama in Salt Lake. Great job on the restoration Bob.
It's bizarre to have to do a total restoration of something which has never been used ! Looks fun though.
These trucks go only into the ten thousands probably had 100003.7 miles lol

When you painted the truck, what kind of compressor did you use? thank you my friend👍👍🇺🇸
Nice Work!
Miles have rolled over who knows how many times!!!! YES rolled over!!! LOL
The mileage is fully documented .over a hundred TH-cam videos telling the Lambrecht story if you care to watch.
Did you replace the majority of the parts or did you actually restore/refurbish them?
beautiful
thanks kid,,means a lot from someone so young
How did you clean those parts so good ?
nice, you will have a one of a kind that will be priceless.
incredible!
I am trying to figure out what the heck happened to the truck in 3.7 miles??????
not sure I understand your question
with 3.7 miles , how did it get so beat up and rusty?

Mike
The guy that owned the dealership took any car that wasn't brand new off the lot and parked them in his field.
Nice! I hope the yellow number on the window is not what you paid for it. LOL . Some people paid crazy money for cars at that auction.
+cbgreenbay This truck sold at the auction for $11,000.00.
nuts
There's no way I'd pay that for a truck in that condition
loopt deze nu al
yes
Laat zien dan
what happened to the bed?
no idea
You still respond to that email?
sometimes
yes
Maybe 300,003 miles I’m guessing.
I know and the moon landing was faked
you would be guessing
HOA.
Don't install your turbo muffler like that it will rust out faster.
the muffler was the original one ,pipes and all. it was cleaned ,power coated and put back just as it came out of the assembly line.but thanks
