Outstanding work and attention to detail. What a great model year and the story of where it came from. Colors stand out as well. I have a 1972 Cheyenne with 402 bbc; it is dark blue and white.

Should have changed timing gear ..with Cloyes all steel.
We purchased a 56 from same auction 11 miles on odometer.. it now has 4 ,303 were using ours as designed not a paperweight dust collector Scared to enjoy is stupid .... great video .. try using it not trailer queen. Of course our machine shop fixes lack of use engines... when a good Dose of marvel mystery oil in fuel and oil and drive frequently could save $$$$ from stuck rings and valves... but you can't fix stupid lol 😆
Did you check with LMC truck for the marker light
EVERYTHING AFTERMARKET IS AVAILABLE ..OEM OR NOS IS VERY HARD TO FIND ..I WAS ABLE TO FIND A NOS. LIGHT.
Since the mileage was new, why was it in such bad shape
Had a '69 3/4 ton camper special I bought in the 80s built from the ground up like yours. Loved that truck and still wi I had it. Best body style ever!

They made about a million of these trucks ,,the only thing that makes this one special is the low low miles ..so drive it and make it as ordinary as all the other ????

It's your truck and you've done a great job but it is really sad that it has gone from living in a field to living on a trailer.

Beautiful truck. I dont blame you for making it a trailer queen. 3.7 miles is unbelievable. I hope you did a lower quality restore on the parts truck so you can drive the snot out of it!
It’s sad they couldn’t keep these trucks under cover, it would have been worth it, I bought my 02 Chevy truck brand new, it has 30k miles, all ways in garage, theirs literally no rust at all, and it’s a Arizona truck it doesn’t rain a lot here! I’ll never sell my truck! People ask me all the time!
As important as a timing chain is, why use a nylon gear? I would trust that!

Where did the dealership get the money too close a whole dealer ship?? Much less in the 60s?? 🤔.not just a few cars but hundreds?? Sketchy as hell
the dealership was opened for around 40 years,he retired and locked the doors.

Though I prefer to drive, I love that you've restored this and it has the ridiculously impressive 3.7 miles! haha Because these old trucks were/are so useful, people put tons of miles on them, so there's very few left that are "show worthy" To see something that is as close to original as humanly without time travel is as good as time travel. Also, this shows people that buying low miles doesn't mean low effort! It's all a matter of hard graft to getting cars properly show-shiny.. and that's if it's just a couple years old and kept indoors most of it's life. Congrats and great going!
The transmission is a 350 Turbo-Hydromatic. A powerglide is a 2 speed.
