    Be nice to have this with hybrid battery assistance for overtaking… I guess if the BYD ute gets lots of sales then everyone will follow suit…

      Agree. I've heard Isuzu is looking into hybrid options for the next-gen.

    I reckon a slight aftermarket tune to get this 1.9 more torque down low and a tad more power will make this alot better

      @@Paradoxical124 Not really, folks in Thailand have been modding the shit out of the 1.9 and 3.0. But for the 1.9 you got to be mindful since you don't have a lot of headroom like the 4JJ3.

    Honestly rather spend the extra $2,000 for the 3.0. It’ll be slow as heck to drive. Like the 2.5 Forester

    When ever a manufacturer has the same vehicle but 2or 3 eng with different output come resale the more powerful eng variant will alsays have better resale value been like that for ever eg in the mid 60s Falcon and Holden two Six cyl options decade later popular with ghe youth market obviously they sort the bigger eng variant

    same power as a 1.9tdi Golf from the early 2000's and bugger all equipment for 50k - Aussie consumers getting mugged in 2024

      No Golf 1.9 tdi had 160 horses stock. Only after remap they could make that power (with limited torque). This Isuzu will make 200 horses after remap with no sweat.

    The 4x4 is only a primitive part time system so no 4x4 all surfaces like Pajero Sport and Everest have in some models.
    Very disappointing.

      The fact it spins its rear wheels in RWD mode on this gutless 1.9l proves the need for AWD mode.
