FR! i sometimes hate having my rank because no matter what i always get slapped in the face with a defeat because of bad teams, and when i do get a good team, we win, and i play another round but none of them are there :(
My team luck is so bad we lose first wave sometimes.

Fun tip for Glow fly rounds, if you have the flies on you should find a tall wall and cling too it where the Salmons can’t get you below!

Facts
You're forgetting that the person with zero boss kills has been single handedly preventing your boss-only focused team from getting wiped by the million small fry, chums, and cohocks they single handedly decimated.
Some waves I just wish one of my teammates would actually focus just a little on the little guys (if roller is in rotation, you're on lesser duty buddy) to prevent getting swarmed by the lessers.
Especially Dynamo Rollers. They can one-shot Cohocks by rolling. You can just move REALLY slowly and watch the Salmonids shred themselves.
@@jet_set8648 Plus if I remember right with the regular Splat Roller all Cohocks need is a single vertical (or maybe even horizontal) swing and then you can just roll over them and continue on with your lesser crushing.
@@jet_set8648 They can, but they chew through your ink reserves way too fast and being slower makes it easier for Flyfish and Stingers to hit and trap you.
Please the bomb throwing at the Flyfish bins was too accurate 😭 they miss 99% of the time istg

As long as players use their special I'm happy. Unless we are lucky and get free rounds. Says me who has had teams that lost said rounds, no I'm not shitting you and no said teammates weren't newbies.

0:50 pro tip that the Employee Handbook in Splatoon 3 has mentioned: when you trigger a fountain that didn’t have a Goldie, it glows, if it glows bright, that means you’re closer to the Goldie, if it doesn’t glow much or at all, you need to go search on the other side of the map.
The glow at the base of the gusher also is slightly different before you hit it, makes it easier not to get overwhelmed by the lesser salmonids.
Tl;dr
Just brute force it.
The height of the gusher is actually a better indication.
Other pro tip: Hit the fountains that are furthest from the basket FIRST. That way you're less likely to get swarmed on your way to deliver the eggs.
The "losing at wave 1" one is 100% accurate.
Glowflies wave 1 is a fun time :)

Yeeting eggs just speeds up overall egg running and offers opportunities to contribute to the egg count while avoiding the basket. Such an awesome mechanic
Lmao, I get so mad when players actively never use their specials in Salmon Run. It's so frustrating watching people save their ults despite everyone getting swarmed and knowing you get an extra special if you use both of them before the extra wave.

even if you don't use your specials and a extra wave happens you still only get one special anyways
I usually save them for emergencies. If we're about to get swarmed, I try to act fast and use the specials to revive and give us breathing room, especially if I'm expecting a Cohozuna attack later on.

it's very frustrating when no one takes out the Drizzlers. They should be a high priority boss as rain can really kill games
Not gonna lie I forgot you can shoot the bombs back at them. Then again it's easier said than done when you have two steel eels, an army of various mooks and some Maws after you all the while flyfish are peppering the tiny field cause high tide.
At least the Flyfish basket hotbox has been fixed

the griller one is exactly my experience, i tried to get higher ground and there was 1 griller and as my teamates distracted it 2 more came in and my teamates all died so i was the last one left being chased by 3 grillers around the map

Throwing eggs takes too much ink
Using the same amount as bombs makes sense from a consistency standpoint, but it should definitely be a bit lower, even with the little splash damage when throwing it.

I kind of agree. It’s a better experience than 2, but I see where you’re coming from with the horror known as the Flyfish and an endless chain of really angry Chums tearing you limb from limb because of some glowing bugs.

@@richardsonrichly8456 Yes. That is one singular weapon. Chargers and tri-stringers eat steelheads for breakfast, but at least that’s a few weapons compared to just one.
But yes, exploshers are invaluable against flyfish.

I also think flyfish aren't hard, just getting the time to throw a bomb at them and having enough ink is usually unlikely in higher hazard levels
By themselves they're not hard. But mixed in with everything else they're annoying. Like midges (midgies are mosquitos but in a swarm and they're tiny).
