I hope you bought that offna dude they are like super rare and each one has it’s own serial number stamped on the chassis.
Not entirely true. Only the limited editions had a chrome chassis with serial number. And only 1000 of those where made. That particular one wasn't one of the 1000. Besides it had the wrong wheels and tires, wrong shocks and body.

7:15 I wouldn't judge a Hornet just by it's body. My Hornet has a re-re body, but it's also an original chassis from the 80s. It may have also been a Grasshopper at one point, but I do have the original Hornet box from the 80s, and a second chassis that's obliterated.
The 2004 re-re has some minor differences in the chassis, but the biggest tell really is the box. Aside from the model number change, the illustration on the side has an ESC not and MSC. The picture on the side of my box shows the mechanical speed controller and resistor, not the TBLE.
