The side mount is a standard dovetail and will accept a standard AK mount. Also the gun is not locked to semi auto. There are 3 selections on the selector lever, you can see the indentations even in the video, you just skipped over the middle one (full auto)

Traditional AK side mount will fit the vss, you have to adjust the nut of the mount to tighten it or loosen it.

A VSS Vintorez is a weapon that a PMC does not normally use. PMC like to take weapons where the ammunition is easy to get at, and that is exactly the problem with the VSS that it uses 9x39mm, and that is a caliber that is difficult to get at. A PMC mostly uses a weapon like an M4, M16, G36, G3, FN Fal, AKM or AKMS. The advantage of all of these weapons is that they use a caliber that is very easy to access. A perfect example of this are the PMC operators from the German PMC Asgaard, they all use either an AKM/AKMS or an M4/M16. But of course you only have to pay attention to this if you want to make a realistic outfit.

These can take cyma's svd side mount.
My Cyma SVD side mount does not go all the way into its mounting how do I fix that?
@@commandoquackers1910 Try adjusting how tight it is. They usually have a screw at the bottom that you can loosen up.

@@Oscar-xw7nt Man all warsaw pact style side mounts have an adjustment screw at the bottom of the throw lever because some mounts come a little bit off. The cyma one has the screw at the bottom. The VSS uses the svd style side mount.

The high caps are the only thing letting it down straight out of the box. Longer term probably needs a better hop rubber and barrel and it will be great work horse for someone! Pheas
The Dytac reaches 50m comfortably on 0.25s...but that does have a tightbore barrel ...like you said this could be good with a few small tweaks

I'm pretty sure the fire selector for full auto is the thing inside the trigger gard just behind the trigger
Hiya. It looks like it should do something but doesn't actually do anything at all, I doubled checked as I couldn't remember, it's just a piece that is cast as part of the body, I would guess it does something on the real one. Pheas
Odd as on their website it states it can do auto and semi. Unless its a mistake on their part

Yes, the selector for semi/auto is behind the trigger and the AK-styled one on the receiver is just your safe/fire. LCT & King Arms both have the correct fire selectors.
The one on the CM.099 is the same as your typical AK selector, full auto on the middle and semi on the bottom.
My AK side mount works fine with VSS. Checked 👌
I found this gun recently and i love it so much
are you sure it's sim locked? the piece behind the trigger maybe be the selector. If that's not it then it looks like the safety has a 3rd position like on the AY/A&T vss (which shares a lot of similarities) i also swear i saw a tappet plate when the dust cover was off

AY Mags work and you can get shorty hicaps for that slimline look. I did try a chinese copy dragunov pso 7x scope but the locking pin gets in the way on the rifles side mounted rails. You could dremel abit off the rifle but a fixed 7x is abit too much magnification. I also tried a belarusian SKS Mount that works on my SVD but is too low for the VSS.

My answer to the video's title: hell yeah but not quite. I love that the gb is ver3 and how you don't have to remove the suppressor to plug in the battery, but the fact that it uses a standard ak hop unit is a let down imo. As the gun is right now it's no different from any other standard length ak out there. What cyma could have done was an svd style rotary hop unit. That could have made this kit stand out more.
So this gearbox is normal version 3? And if i want to buy wooden stock can i?
tbf though you can just change it, i bought the gun and also bought a new hop up unit, aswell as a new trigger and motor to improve fire rate.
I don't think it contains classic V3 but V3 based gearbox. At least nozzle seems to be quite low so tappet plate and cylinder head Will be different

In theory it should, but I think my rail was a little deformed so wouldn't take things properly. BUT if it should mount on a normal AK side mount then you should be ok! Pheas

Have you had that locked to semi only then? Because every site that has them including Taiwan gun are saying they are select fire semi / full auto.
So for those that can’t do I themselves it’s more money to either lower the power or mod to semi only.
Hiya. I haven't done anything to it at all. At the point of purchase it was listed as semi auto as the only firing mode, so went with it on that basis. But the selector is still a standard AK selector plate so does give you access to full auto. It wouldn't be too hard to file / dremel down the selector to stop it from engaging the full auto, but would require a disassembly to do it. That would be the cheapest way to lock it to semi auto. I have seen since buying (like a day or two afterwards) the listing was put to show that it is semi and full auto. I do think a video might be in order to show how to file down the selector plate to stop full auto being engaged. Pheas

I can't find one on its own. I guess they it's compatible with the posp scope set up but they are hard to get hold of at times and not cheap either. I hope that do the side mount for it and mid caps.... Then I could see them selling alot of these. Pheas
@Your toes. Hand them over Yes that's what I asked for since he said that a AK side mounted rail doesn't work. So it needs to be a specific one for this gun.

Hiya. They should in theory take an SVD side mount for a rail or scope on top. I didn't have one available at the time, but if you take a look through the comments on the video a few people have said what they have used or had issues with for mounts. Hope that helps. Pheas

The guy who has it now got an AK mount fitted but required a little filing down for a fully secure level fit. The people who have commented are better placed to tell you what they have specifically! Hello! There is only patrol base in the UK that even has them listed (from a quick google search) So you might need to get from Gunfire or Taiwangun (when they start UK postage again) Pheas

Can you order it to fire at 350fps ? if so how far ie how many meters would it fire? also was it accurate when firing ?
Hiya. If you order from Taiwan Gun they allow you to specific a rough fps that you want and they will get as close to it as possible without going over. The range shouldn't be altered too much, I would still expect over 40 meters, and it was pretty accurate at that sort of distance. Pheas

@@stupicks3078 Hiya! King Arms seem to fit, but require a bit to be filed down to match. I have not seen any direct fit mags. As for the side mount, not sure if I got unlucky with mine, but others are saying they have fit various mounts to theres if you have a look through the comments. Pheas

HIya. The king arms will fit with a little modding to the catches on them, but its a very fine line between too much and too little. So take it very very carefully. Pheas

Hiya, I couldn't find any mid caps for this by CYMA, they either aren't doing them or they aren't around yet. I have spent a while looking online at the other airsoft VSS options and none of their mags seem to be the right shape to fit with this model. Pheas

.25 on a DMR that seems really light i normally use .4 or .43 in my dmr's
It is / was really light, but its the only ammo I had available at the time and the new owner was rushing me to get it delivered! He has said that it wasn't hoping very well after 0.28 with the standard rubber. Pheas
The real gun only has a 400m effective range it’s not really a dmr

You can adjust those sidemounts. After this comment I watched other video and yes it takes ak sidemount. And you can shoot it full auto. This guy gets these things in his videos very wrong usually...
0.25 for a DMR are you mad you should be using 0.32 minimum
Thats exactly what I was thinking. I use .4s in my sniper. Wouldn't dream of anything lighter. Bbs would just fly away in the wind

It is full auto. When I initially ordered it is was listed as locked to semi, I didn't re-check and later discovered it is full auto as well as semi. I released another video as an update about it to clarify. Pheas

Cool gun, I have the G&G one and I find that one a lot nicer over all especially as it comes with lipos and a mosfet but for half the price you cant really complain can you :D

Hiya, I posted a retraction / clarification video. The original advert for this showed it was semi only and I hadn't realised it had been changed, it is both semi and full auto unfortunately. Pheas
To me, unfortunately; if there's no wood it is no good. I mean they could have at least tried with some faux wood coating on the stock like AY did! And if they were going to just make it all black it should have been worked into an AS Val with a side folding stock and all that.
Edit: Especially for 210$ USD on Evike.
I fully agree. This is the exact reason as to why i brought the LCT VSS. The wood stock is fucking beautiful, and the metal work stunning. Also real life function, and an adapter designed for PSO scopes. Sure it cost double, but it is a gorgeous replica

There’s full auto in the gun. The selector switch on the gun is just like an AK. The middle switch is full auto just like an AK. Come on man this is basic stuff.
yet here we are on a nearly 4 year old video, where you are commenting without noticing all the other people, who commented about this, in which I had admitted both a selector issue with mine which gave intermittent single instead of auto and the ad at the time of buying didnt list auto as an option, so I took the retailer at their word and proceeded to unbox.... But thanks for the coment though! Great to see people are super friendly on here......
