I was, watching one piece and Black clover. I loved the whole devil union and yami. Then I saw a "all form of ichigo" video, it looked cool, then DRIP KING himself vasto lorde hit my eyes and DROPED EVRYTHING.Then STARTED Bleach and well....my handle says it all😊. My favorite thing about this fight was the theme of Ulquiorra n Ichigo/Orihime and heart. Ulquiorra thought hollows were superior to humans because they don’t have a heart and thought it’s what makes them weak. However Ulquiorra didn’t really even know what the heart is he just knows he does not have it and never remembers having it. The entire fight he tried to break Ichigo’s Will and heart with despair Ichigo obviously being a Shonen protagonist is extremely resilient 😂. Ulquiorra was frustrated the entire arc about not understanding what the heart is so much so that he tries breaking orihime will(heart) psychologically and Ichigo’s physically and once he achieves that by killing Ichigo infront of orihime he gets his ass whooped immediately and sees Ichigo without his heart even though he is stronger he is nothing but an empty vessel of instinct. Ulquiorra sees him as a downgrade Ichigo turned into a heartless mindless beast and lost everything that made him a person Ulquiorra saw the real difference between human and hollows. Ichigo literally almost killed Ishida his friend Ulquiorra basically had to stop Ichigo from killing Uryuu in away saving Ichigo innocence and Uryuu’s life it was at this moment he realized what having a heart meant. This is how Kubo tells stories and themes through battle

He learned the difference, and in tandem, gained one himself.

The funniest thing about the Vasto Lorde vs Ulquiorra is Kubo originally wanted it to be an even fight as shown in the Movie 4 Hell Chapter intro that scene is meant to be canon by the way and not the one-sided stomp the manga and anime potrayed XDD
But it was better this way. It was actually more satisfying and made sense.
Most anime's the protagonist gets an upgrade e.g Ultra instinct and it still gets stomped this losing all it's hype. But with Ichigo an upgrade means total destruction 😂 I love it.

It wasn’t really plot armour it made sense to ichigo s current abilities and using white which was recently established as ichigos “horse” as a catalyst for power but in an act of desperation letting it consume him and twist his ambitions as hollows normally work

This is tied for my favorite fight in all manga/ anime - it’s tied with the fight between Kenpachi and Unohana. If I had to pick it would be the Unohana fight though -for a long time never thought I would get to see it animated but I finally did which was a blessing. This video was hilarious and quite enjoyable.

Listen, all respect to them for hitting it out of the park with the Thousand Year Blood War adaptation, but Studio Pierrot did Orihime DIRTY. Taking an extremely strong and capable person who just doesn't have the heart of a killer and reducing her to the worst surface level reading of her by peppering in a bunch of shit that does nothing but hold her back as a character. Oh my god just WAIT until you see her feats against a certain villain in Cour 3, I hate to fall back on power scaling tropes but Orihime is Planetary at the *bare minimum* and people write her off because she doesn't like to be the aggressor.
