Thank you Michael I'm so glad to have it back this is the greatest knife in my collection that I've ever had so to get it back even though it's not the original still makes me feel happy and very blessed! No matter what it is I'm still happy with it it's good quality and other than not having the little serrations on the back it's identical so I'm not complaining thanks always for your support brother! 🙏🏻🙂
Thanks Jay they sure do I'd like to have one of their folders I've never pulled the trigger well yes I do I have the small 2-in Staghorn folder it's in one of my reviews but I mean one of the ones that are similar to The Buck 110 but with stag I would like to have one of them also! Thanks for your comment brother! 👍🏻
Thank you thank you brother I'm so proud to have it back! May not be the very one that I had before, but it's the very same model and everything so I'm happy and blessed! 🙏🏻😁
Man in 1968 I went into town to buy a f a bower Bowie . Sold out but the older Jewish man that owned the pawn shop talked me into buying the puma Bowie . I didn’t have enough money to make the purchase so he put it on layaway . He told me that’s what you want . Your son and grandson will enjoy that knife . The knife is still in fine shape to this day in 2024 . Way better than the ones today but they are still great knives .
@charlesbutler6906 he did you a favor by talking to you into that knife. Sad thing my original I think I might have said in the video, I pawned it in Waco Tx, for nothing like $15.00, I wasn't going to lose it. Those jackasses absolutely screwed me out of my knife for $15.00, I'm not disappointed with this one, but my original had the little serrated edge, nothing like the knew serrated edges nowadays. They were like little even almost like hacksaw, they really went through bone. I used to look at the new ones in the pipe store in the mall when I was a kid. Just the thought of the smell of the pipe tobacco, and that display they had like three different Puma knives. Truly very very classy knife!
Your Puma was produced in late 90’s into early 2000’s. I just picked one up from same vintage. Earlier ones 1970s on back were Carbon steel blades with serial #s stamped on Nickel silver guard. Sometime after they have 440C stainless blades and Aluminum guard. Blades were etched on opposite side like yours. Far right etching is the manufacture time frame 2 or 3 digit code followed by 440 RC
I would like to thank mine is real I've had the original I know because my dad had it since at least 1975 we Camden process there with it and it was passed on to me that one I lost and had to replace it and this one is a lot different than that one mine had serrations on it. And very perfect grinds the one I have in the video doesn't have perfect grinds it doesn't look like German made.
@@jerrydonquixote5927 Puma did made a few lines of inexpensive knives from China elsewhere. They would be marked as country of origin. The later Puma’s made in Germany are not quite as well made as those old ones, but still pretty good quality. Your Newer Puma should be Etched Marked Germany if made in Germany.
@CuttingEdgetools it's hard to say the ones that are fake, they don't say they're made from China, because they're counterfeits, they don't want you to know that, so I'll be really shocked if it was made in Germany, but its possible. I really don't know for sure probably never will know.
In 1968 i was in Germany ktown went to the fin and feather club they had a lot of puma knives i bought the plainsman folder for 18 dollars still have it today wish i would have bought more someone offered me 100 dollars for it but i won’t sell it
love their knives, White Hunter is my fav for hunting. with this one i don't understand why they use the Comic Sans typeset on the blade branding. looks so childish.
The original Originals like back in the '70s and before they had like Old English type lettering I don't know when they started with this kind but they do make some good knives I'm not sure which one the white Hunter is but I've also had the Skinner that has the same handle as this but it goes to a trailing Point rather than a clip point I gave it to a friend that passed away and I never got it back so anyway glad to have this one again, thanks for your comment! 👍🏻🙂
