I lead worship with John and Korey at Cornerstone Music Festival. They were guests in the worship Tent. John brought his acoustic bass and Korey her acoustic guitar. One song in a string broke on Korey’s guitar. I had mine on my back passing through the tent and I offered to let her use it, she instead said to come up and just play. I played, she sang with John. Super cool people! Gosh that was 20+ years ago!!
My first experience with Skillet in general was when I was a teenager and I was at a youth conference. They did a concert for us. My now teenager reawakened my love for them. He loves singing along. And he almost has the growl down. Loved your face!

i first heard monster when it was new and everyone at school was talking about it. i was 11 or 12. it was the first skillet song i’d ever heard. i usually hate this type of heavy metal/hard rock sound but i do love this song. this is one of skillet’s most popular songs. this song is what started it all for skillet. and skillet is a christian rock band.
Awake and alive was the first song I heard from skillet and I became an instant fan. You should definitely check it out it’s dope

That's one thing that amazes me about all these reactors. Is how much music they have never heard. Same with comedy. Most that say it. Are bs. You can always tell which are legit. It is also refreshing to see people with a open mind. Restores a little faith in humanity.

Where I first heard this song? Was 10 years ago when I was 18. I think I was hearing this, and "Awake and Alive" by them on local Christian radio. I had been attending church shortly prior, and at the time I was staying with my uncle, who had just shattered his heel, for 2 weeks in a trailer he just moved into. I ended up buying their "Awake" album.

I was living in Toledo, Ohio, when I first Monster by Skillet it was back in 2009.
I first heard this song, when they played it live befor the album came out.
I think this is the first time I seen you get involved into a rock song and sing along...thats dope..i love skillet...one of the many Christian rock bands I like. Goes to show that worshiping god can be in any musical form....not strictly gospel or hymnal. Ready for more skillet!!!
My then 3 year old sister in law would run around the living room singing along. Hitting the growls perfectly.
