Micheal Misa 2024 season Highlight with Saginaw in the OHL (2025 NHL Draft top prospect)

- Misa is still regard has a top 5 pick in the 2025 Draft but has fallen from last year as he was seen like a clear shot top 3 pick. His speed and hands are his main qualities but his decision making could be better.
He didn't really improve his ppg from last year with a 1.12 ppg while being on a stacked team.

Misa is starting to become underrated
yeah he still got a 1.12 ppg in the OHL as a 16 yo which is incredible but last year he got the exact same production and that may be a red flag for nhl team looking at his progression

Top 3 playmaker in the upcoming draft in my eyes, as a spirit fan u watch him everynight, I believe top 5 pick, and u havent even seen the man on the top line, he was recently on the 3rd line it just shows how stacked saginaw was.
Didn’t know he played on the third line all year but this could be a big factor in his production this year. He could very well end up #2 if he has a good year considering his track record
What I can take away from this is that he is an excellent playmaker. He isn’t the most agile skater, and doesn’t have the quickest release, but he seems to just have a way of getting past defenders with his insane puck handling skills. He can find the smallest passing lane and put the puck tape to tape. He seems a lot like a passer over shooter, but usually will do what is best. He has a high hockey IQ and he uses it well.
Considering how long he’s been talked about, I think he very well may go first overall if his next season is excellent. I’ve consistently seen him and McKenna both as players similar to Bedard in terms of ceiling, which would be that “Franchise Player” status like Crosby and McDavid. I do think Misa is a *bit* less likely to reach that, but it’s certainly a possibility still.

I get what you said in the sense that in the video he looks like a great playmaker but after watching a lot of footage, he isn’t really efficient. He is a bit too much of a north south guy and could be slowing the pace down sometimes. But besides from that he has all the tools to be a beast next years and still be a top 1-5 prospect depending on other performances and his. But great observation my guy I love when viewers do analysis like this in the comments! You know your thing
