I post videos of NHL prospects, some play-by-play, highlight reels and scouting. I'm am focusing more on the upcoming NHL draft but I'm open to all of your suggestion!
Is James Hagens still a lock to be the first overall pick?
Hagens has had the worst luck possible as he scored on less than 3% of his shot so far this season. He is still putting up points with 14 assists but we got to remember that he plays with two of the best NCAA player in the league ( Leonard and Perreault )
With Martone and Misa having insane season, Hagens isn't the locked first overall pick that he was entering the season

Here's every plays that impressed me from Michael Hage so far this season
มุมมอง 4.2K28 วันที่ผ่านมา
Hage is currently rolling at about a ppg pace since the start of the year but that doesn't reflect how good he has actually been. His puck carrying skills are elite, his transition play is top notch too and he always looks calm with the puck. MTL got a very good one at pick 21 🎥: NCAA
Philippe Veilleux could potentially be the steal of the 2025 Draft and here's why
มุมมอง 2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Veilleux had 47 points last years as a rookie which is very impressive...but it gets even more impressive when we take into consideration that he was playing on the worst team in the CHL and leading his team in points by 8. This year, after a slow start. He managed to have 19 points in his last 11 games playing with, once again, one of the worst team in the CHL. If he ends up being a 3rd or 4th...
Cole Reschny is having a strong start of the season with 26 points in 19 games (2025 NHL Draft)
มุมมอง 830หลายเดือนก่อน
Reschny is looking like a very safe prospect. Very fast, high pace and is becoming a good playmaker. He kinda reminds me of a smaller version of Roope Hintz. 🎥: WHL, CHL
Matthew Schaefer is looking like a clear cut top 5 pick after his nice start of the season
มุมมอง 4.3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Matt Schaefer is gonna be the #1 D of the board in the next draft and it's not even close. 10 pts in 8 games is very good has a defenseman but other than his points he looks like a complete 2 way D. Top 10D potential in his prime in the NHL and I don't think it's a hot take 🎥: OHL, CHL
Tij Iginla has been a scoring machine so far this season
มุมมอง 1.7Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Iginla has 9 goals in 9 games while adding 6 assists to bring his total to 15 pts in 9 games. Utah should be happy with the way he is playing so far. 🎥: WHL, CHL
Beckett Sennecke is looking incredible so far this season
มุมมอง 8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Sennecke, who was picked 3rd overall by the Ducks in last year's draft, is looking like a good pick at the time I made this video. He is dominating in every aspect of the game but more importantly, on the stat sheet. He currently has 11 goals and 19 points in 12 games 🎥: OHL, CHL
Victor Eklund draft stock is trending up after a great start of the season in Sweden ( 2025 Draft )
มุมมอง 9Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Eklund is a dynamic player who uses his speed to be great in transition and be very noticable on the ice. He currently has 11 pts in 13 games while playing against men which is great for a 17 year old. I would not be suprise to see him getting picked in the top 15 and a lot of big name mock draft have him in the 10 🎥: Allvensken
Axel Sandin-Pellika is already looking like the best defenseman of the 2023 NHL Draft
มุมมอง 7Kหลายเดือนก่อน
ASP currently has 13 points in 13 games playing in the SHL as a 20 year old. He looks absolutely incredible on the ice. He reminds me a bit of a young Erik Karlsson with the way he move and is calm with the puck. If I had the choice of picking of the D from the 2023 Draft, I would take ASP before Reinbacher, Simashev, Wallinder and Bonk and its not very close. 🎥: SHL
Caleb Desnoyers is the best prospect from the QMJHL since Alexis Lafrenière
มุมมอง 3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Desnoyers has always been a very good prospect and he is looking like a bordeline top 10 pick for the 2025 NHL Draft. He is excellent in Faceoff%, a great two way center and has some real talent to score goals. He could be a target for a team that is looking for a great top 6 center. 🎥: QMJHL, CHL
Lynden Lakovic is a name to remember for the 2025 NHL Draft
มุมมอง 1.1Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Lakovic is a 2006 late birthday prospect who I have not heard a lot since the beginning of the year but he is looking like a top 15 pick. He really reminds me of Dylan Holloway but with a better offensive touch. He currently has 16 points in 12 games. 🎥: WHL, CHL
Cameron Schmidt is the best 5"7 prospect we've seen since Cole Caufield
มุมมอง 4.8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Cameron Schmidt, remember the name because he will not be waiting for too long next June during the draft because he is a certified stud. He is a goal scoring machine with 12 goals in 11 games and his playmaking game is developping too. He is, personally, one of my favorite prospect coming up in the 2025 draft. 🎥: WHL, CHL
Porter Martone is making a case for the 1st overall pick with his crazy start of the year
มุมมอง 7K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Martone has a crazy start of the szn with 16 points in 7 games in the OHL, he is on pace for 130 points and might challenge Hagens for the first pick. Not the biggest fan of the his overall game but I gotta respect his skillset 🎥: CHL, OHL
Gavin Mckenna has been one of the most UNLUCKY player I've ever seen this season
มุมมอง 10K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Mckenna has only 2 goals in 9 games and that is on 90 shot attempts. He is creating at least 3-4 high scoring chances per game but only has 13 points in 9 games. His luck will turn around and when he does, he will score 50 goals in the last 50 games of the season. 🎥: WHL, CHL
Xavier Villeneuve will be the next Lane Huston (2026 NHL Draft)
มุมมอง 6K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Villeneuve is a 2007 D who plays in the QMJHL with the Armada is one of the most skills defenseman I've even seen in my life. He is not scared to try crazy move on the blue line and most of the time they work. He is a late birthday kid so his draft is in 2026. He will be a guy to watch for the top 10. 🎥: CHL, QMJHL

Talented against boys but how will he be against men who will take his head off? Bedard is still a talent but only time will tell if they become the next Crosby / McDavid or Dangle and other #1 busts.
Now Drafted as Predator
Honestly, I think he won’t be anything special, I just think he looks slow, and ok hands, don’t chop my head off. Just my opinion. He won’t be able to try those moves in the nhl.
the fact he's only 15 is unbelievable, that kid is gonna be special.
Not one highlight of him playing DEFENSE.
Skilled but slow. He is going top 4 for sure.I take Schaefer and Hagens over Martone.
Welcome to the Buffalo Sabres, kid. What could go wrong 😂
Going to Blackhawks
This is Connor Mcdavid on steroids
Many in the Red Wings' organization wanted Axel to play in North America this season, but Yzerman let Alex choose where he wanted to play. Great move by Yzerman to let the kid enjoy another year of hockey in his homeland.
Sir I must apologize I wasn’t familiar with your game 🥶
Thank you for this. Hes just so hated from the hockey world because habs took him over michkov. I wanted michkov too but I watch this and I immediately see a two way #2 RD all day long that can play beside Lane Hutson and play a ton of minutes pk, shutdown maybe pp2. Not all dmen need to be offensive quarterbacks. You dont win with that. The way he controls the blue line, how effortlessly he transports the puck, his rush defence all very high end. It sucks he got hurt. He was going to do very well in the AHL this year.
Is he better the Bedard ? I already think Celebrini in his short sample size is better all around than Bedard.
Фанаты уток уже вовсю ждут след сезона,чтоб лицезреть этого бистяру💪🏻
My friends (who don’t watch the players play, but only make up their minds on their hockeydb’s 😅) thought Levshunov at 2 was perfectly fine and were SHOCKED at Sennecke at 3rd OA (and even laughed at the Ducks). I told them I thought LEVSHUNOV would end up being the Mistake-Pick NOT Sennecke.
He doesn’t turn 20 until march 2025 btw
What a stud
look like a mix of jack eichel with getzlaf
Great vid. I didn't realize how well he's skating. Do you think he is gonna be a first centre in the league?
Hagens = Tim Stützle Martone = Jamie Benn Schaefer = Quinn Hughes Misa = Nico Hischier
Schaefer more like Heiskanen
#1 pick
Dropping a scouting report on him soon!
W
He's a top 4-7 pick right now in my book
Same he is just to good
Best since? He's gonna be better than caufield. From a Habs fan...
yeah since in the sense that since cole we haven’t seen a 5"7 prospect that good. But yeah he looks more complete has a prospect then caufield
He’s so nasty but they just don’t seem to be falling for him
I think it’s between him misa martone. Maybe someone takes schaeffer but as of rn I don’t see that happening
Unless a team is in desperate need of a D maybe Schaeffer but its clearly between the 3 others
@ yeah I agree
I think if the sharks have pick 3 or 4 they take Schaeffer. It makes sense - they have the promising forward core, but need another stud D. It would also be interesting for pick number 1 as they have Smith and Celebrini at Center, maybe Martone, makes sense as a big winger.
@ yeah I think if they pick 1 it’s pretty much between Martone and schaeffer
Watched him a few days ago against northeastern, wasn’t impressed at all.. depending on draft order, I could see him falling to 3
He could very well, misa and martone have simply outplayed him since the start of the szn
@@TChockey I'd have to disagree. I saw him play in the beginning of the season against Michigan state. I was very impressed with his skating skills and hockey iq. Many comment on his lack of scoring, however, he is a playmaker, meaning that he has a more of a pass first mentality. I do agree that there is definitely a horse race between hagens, martone, misa, and schaeffer. Nonetheless, I think that regardless of who gets selected first overall, there wont be a major skill gap between the others in the top 4/5.
Not a lock like the last couple of years. I think it's a four horse race right now.
I LiKe HoRsEs😂😂😂
Who do you think is in contention with him
@Isaias-v3x Schaefer, Misa or Martone all have a chance I think.
I love draft like these. Reminds me a bit of the slaf Wright cooley year
Best hockey content on ytb keep it up!
thanks Mav appreciate it!
Man I had forgotten that ankle breaker, poor kid from Notre Dame must've had his ego shattered into a puzzle set. 😂 Very nice vid, thanks a lot. I kinda wish you'd also showed a bit more of of his defense & puck retrievals cause I've seen a few clips on that from him and I didn't expect to see them as good as they were this soon into his rookie season. Crazy how fast he got into it by the way, you can see Hagens in Boston still trying to figure things out, which is completely normal, in spite of probably having the 2 best linemates in the whole league but Michael took off like a rocket while on a somewhat partially rebuilt team. Truly impressive. I'm betting not more than a couple years from now some GMs will scratch their heads thinking how did we pass on this one ?
Glad you liked the vid my man! You're not the first to tell me to put defensive highlight so 100% I will put some on the next video. You are absolutely right I really think GM will regret passing on him and the Habs got a very good one
@TChockey when I placed that comment I still had a good memory of the thorough highlights from his first 2 or 3 games, plus a couple more shifts from his latestst USHL games in which he was quite proficient defensively. Since then I watched a couple more which raised doubts and then Grant McCagg on the Sick podcast highlighted even more that if the abilities are there, he's actually not doing nearly enough, still has got to implement a lot more of that 2-way compete to his game. But yeah, will be nice to track if there's some progress there in a few months or if he's still mainly focused on growing his impressive offense.
amazing video💪🏼
thanks brotha
Προβώ Φίλιππος 👑👑👑👑🌟🌟🌟🌟
He's gonna be top five!
Hot take!
Demidov gets all the attention but man this guy is honestly right there in terms of talent. Definitely a better skater than Demidov.
Speaking of Demidov, would you be able to make a mid season KHL highlight pack for him?
Demidov is crazy elite but you’re right he still is special
I’m gonna do one but I will probably post it on twitter because Im not sure if the KHL would strike me on here. But if you have twitter max I’ll post one in the coming weeks
Mtl need him
Would be the perfect fit. Finally a true #1 D
@TChockey yessss
Underrated player, i have the chance to see him in person (im from Val-d'Or) and he's incredible. Fast hands, fast skater and an big hockey IQ. Also if u want u could go check Alex Huang, an offensive defense with the best skating in my opinion in the Q. The twos guys are definitely steals for sure!
Im with you on that one, very smart, skills player. I’ll take notes for Huang I did a vid on him this summer but I’ll do an update in the coming weeks/ months!
He's so underrated. This kid have some serious talent. He has an amazing vision on the ice.
His IQ and vision is crazy
if he played with actual good player he would be looked at as a 2nd round pick
yeah not even a question.
100%
I don’t see a franchise player here might be wrong but he remind me of nail yakupov
not franchise player 100% on you with that one but he still has some great top 6 upside
This kid is going to look great in the Maroon and Gold
Looking good. We wont know if he is the best of the 2023 draft until 5 years from now.
You are right Dave, still thinks he has the most tools out of all the other D tho
Already incredible player, the hand, skating, vision. Tremendous player for me
welcome to montreal
Weird way to spell San Jose 🤔
If you expect to keep Suzuki, Laine and Slafkovsky…who are all slow skaters,,,Martone will definitely not improve that.
Is G.McKenna as good as a pro women hockey player at 16 years old......just curious...
100% better
Dropping a scouting report on him soon!
Gonna go watch it!
@ awesome! It’ll be up in like 20 mins!
Same for Cristall
Please don't take him from us! We need him in Djurgården a few more years!
he will still play a couple of years in the SHL
@ problem is we’re not in the SHL at the moment and all of our young talent who get drafted have to pay in the SHL after being drafted. So we (djurgården) are fostering all this talent that then get one attempt at bringing us back up to the top league and if they don’t they go off to a competing team. Very frustrating to see.
@@Skumgummiii Oh ok I see, so when you are a fan of the Alvensken djurgarden team, you are not necessarily fan of the SHL team?
@ heh, in Sweden we don’t have closed leagues like in the states. Djurgården were relegated from the shl to hockeyallsvenskan after the 21/22 season. So it’s the same team regardless of league, just hockeyallsvenskan is at a lower level of play and pays less. Imagine if the the worst team in each conference at the end of the regular season were moved down to the AHL and then the two finalists in the AHL playoffs were moved up to the NHL
@@Skumgummiii Ok I feel you my boy. So is he gonna be going in another team next year if he wants to play in the SHL?
I could easily see him being turned into a forward as well.
U r retarted bro what. He is so incredibly amazing defensively.
lowkey, but he looks veryy effective as a D
@@TChockey just saying I believe he has to skills to be a dominant forward. And if a team needs a forward more than a D, they could select him and switch him. Just like the Leafs did with Wendal Clarke.
Incredible hands for someone his size. There is something almost hypnotic in how he approaches the game. You can almost tell what he's going to do, and he still gets it done in such a silky and fluid sort of way. Once his man strength sets in, that lanky meandering style could be a real menace on the forecheck in the NHL, creating all kinds of offense in tight quarters.
