This is actually the -M variant, which came out 2 years later and slightly more compact than the non -M variant of Pentax. This is also my favorite vintage lens, I appreciate your time and effort to restore it.
Really a great restoration! One minor remark. The ring that is disassembled at 1:05 you re-assemble in 19:18 in a 180deg turned position. That ring is intended to demped the spring loaded automatic aperture operation. Actually I don't know if it has an effect, but I always take notice to put in the right position.
Oh yeah. I changed it back to original position. I forgot to record the video . Recording and editing video is more time consuming than repairing camera lol ha ha 😂 .
So glad i stumbled onto your channel, keep up the amazing work! A question though, the tool that sort of resembles two screwdrivers attached to a bar that tightens/loosens the rings in the lens (at 3:11 for example) - what is this called? Thanks!
It's amazing! Seeing the inside of my favorite lens is such an exhilarating experience. Thank you!
Incredible!! Love your restoration videos - helps us new repairmen/women out a lot!

I think it is called “Lens Spanner Wrench”
Hey! Could you give me link to buy the lens cleaning and fingerprint and dust cleaning solution at around 12:30
I ordered from China “TaoBao” web store. I don’t know you can get from ali express or not. Tiffen lens cleaning solution is also good imo.
