Merit based pay isn’t a bad idea for teachers. But as we’ve seen repeatedly, schools and teachers are willing to falsify grades and scores, so that needs some serious forethought on how to approach and implement an idea like that in academics. Creating incentives to get better outcomes also creates incentives to cheat the system in order to get that higher pay.

I like Vivek, but I would be happier if Trump won this one and Vivek won the next election. Trump needs to finish what he started and Vivek can continue on that. If it was the other way around, I think Trump might be too old and tired of the fight. Besides, these two would definitly butt heads if Vivek was VP.
