Make complex multi-layered animations in Camtasia | Move objects in complex directions in Camtasia

  • You can move objects along more complex directions in Camtasia by combining multiple different animations to achieve more complicated movement of your objects. Camtasia allows you to animate objects or clips in straight lines or rotate them and that's pretty much it.
    But using the technique I demonstrate in this tutorial, you can at least add one or more dimensions to your animation by combining animations using multiple linear movements and also rotations and scaling to achieve more complicated effects and movements that you cannot achieve with a single animation.
    In this simple tutorial, we combine two animations on the same objects/clips by making them move close to each other as well as rotating around each other.

    Thanks for the tutorial. Not sure if this feature was available in Camtasia when you recorded this tutorial, but there is an easier way to deal with the cropping of the group. When items in your group are getting cropped, just right click the group, select Resize Group, then select Visible Size.

      Thank you! Yeah, I know, I don't remember when they added that command but I also did a video on it: th-cam.com/video/vTyoTntOstY/w-d-xo.html

      You can record directly from PowerPoint into Camtasia using the PowerPoint AddOn, or just run the presentation (F5) and use the screen recorder to record it while you talk. You can also just import the slides into Camtasia like images, and place them on the timeline, then narrate and change their duration as required. Like I show here: th-cam.com/video/dYpg6TCCni0/w-d-xo.html

    What if you create a "null object" something like a shape and remove the opacity to say 0 or even make it same color of the background, and position it such that it helps the inner group to be fully visible even if other animations are added to a newly created group involving the shape?

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do that too. The idea is to use groups to add more animations to something that is already animated. Thanks for watching!

    Nice! What happens if you just change the group size of the second group animation to Canvas instead of Visible?

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can. I only realised I'd forgotten about the "Resize Group > To Canvas Size" command AFTER recording! :) I guess I'll do another video on just that function because it solves the whole problem of cutting off the objects.
