I treasure my third great grandfather's journal entries of his conversion and living with Joseph Smith, but I treasure the journal of my second great grandfather as well. Although he did write about the daily weather and what he bought and sold, on the day his wife died, he wrote nothing. About a week later, his only entry for the day said, "I sure miss Cynthia." Those few words are unexpectedly poignant for me.

Using shaded areas in place of fully defined eyes was an artistic choice by our main illustrator, and we enjoyed the simplicity so we continued with that style in each of our illustrations.
