cant help but feel like this campaign had so much more potential if the players weren't dms and it wasnt 100% rules as written. Don't get me wrong, I love the cast and the rp is really good, but being dms that are dm'ing the campaign they're playing? No matter how hard you try it will be impossible to not meta, something I feel we've seen happen multiple times with twi's character and the party's way to go about things. They always plow their way through everything in the most efficient way and it just makes it way less entertaining to watch when every encounter is one sided. Hope to one day see a series like this with dragna dm'ing for players that have never played CoS before, and maybe even a little less by the book.
There are so many groups out there who do that. And it´s great, too. I quite like that there is a not that much planless "well..what are we gonna do now" emptiness, and "we have to explore every minute corner, cause we might miss a vital clue...even tho there are none", that you have with groups who are completely new. And I would argue Lilisen burning to crisps in the temple, was not quite one sided XD But I agree, it would be cool to see a Dragna dm maybe his reworked CoS!
@@heartdice2512 I agree that the flow of things is quite nice and that the episodes always feel smooth and filled with things happening, but wasn’t the whole point of this campaign that the players weren’t going to be experienced adventurers? I feel like the ruleset dragna came up with for the characters faded away after the first 10 episodes. Only Metrion seems to be the one still getting shook and disturbed by things. Some downtime where the players felt hopeless and defeated is something i really expected there to be alot of in this campaign, but when every other player sprouts «lets kill this fucker strahd» every other sentence with immence confidence I personally feel that the whole point of this campaign was missed. I don’t want this to come across as hate in any way, because i’ve really loved this campaign and its gotten me through alot of long shifts by listening to it:P but i can’t help but feel it could’ve been so much more if the players didn’t know everything there is to know about the campaign they’re playing in and the enemies they’re about to face. I really trust dragna’s experience with Strahd to give the players a real challenge though.
@@CaptainThorIron Nah Strahd is 100% dead unless the PCs are stupid, Lilissen can just use her Wish blade to put him in a Forcecage while Caoimhe stands with her lightsaber nearby. Only way Strahd wins is if he fireballs and oneshots Lilissen from stealth before anything else happens.
