    I must say this is the dumbest idea ever, have a group of people to play a story they already know inside out, then they try to fake they do not know what happens next. What the heck was the idea behind this?

      I take it that you never roleplayed before- it involves acting and reacting based on the limitations you give your character. Do you know how to approach a scene like your character would approach it? You can have a character that, while you know that a trap of some sort is behind a door but still have that character run into it either because they don’t know or because they are not informed in character.
      There’s a lot to unpack here with the art of knowing what’s there but reacting based off what your character knows but something tells me that getting into those finer points is beneath you. But to answer your question- it’s because the module is fun, the stories told of the victories and defeats are interesting and some people are able to believably fake it to tell a good story.

      @@Arcticmaster1190 to be fair they ruined the ending of the whole campaign for one by metagaming as one of the players created a specific build to retrieve secrets from the dead Rahadin to totally trivialize the Castle Ravenloft. Everybody hated the ending. I win.
