Brother Lawrence was a Franciscan monk who worked in the kitchens of the monastery he was attached to. He hated it, but he stuck to the arduous work. As an old man, he suffered greatly with arthritis, and was given the job of mending the other monk's sandals. When he became too weak to work, he was bedridden until his death. He asked to be laid on the side with most pain, to be like his Savior and Lord. Great man.
I’m reading his exercises now and am starting my daily examination of conscience. I am impatient. I watch too much violence, sex and swearing on utube and Netflix and Prime. I waste valuable brain cells on dysfunctional shows. I make things complicated when they are simple. I am here to praise, revere and serve God. Most of my day is the opposite. These exercises set me right. God bless you all.

My grandmother was in the reformed church. She married my grandfather, a Catholic. There was probably a minor uproar. That’s probably the most subtle of religious vignettes in my family tree. The common religious thread - between Prots and Caths - is that each branch of one flavor came to the US to escape the beleaguerment imposed by the other flavor in Europe. I was a cradle Catholic who returned to God after 40-years as an atheist via the _Methodists!_ (My final changeover was similar to the incredible experience reported by St Augustine.) Now I’m kinduva Methodist-Catholic. (Really leaning RC but fully appreciative of what the Methodists (in the early days, Wesley, etc) have done for Christianity. This is incredible, since watching this I want to train to be a Jesuit, yet I am not even Catholic. I could not believe my ears when you said Ignatius went into a cave and let himself go to overcome his vain character. I too am a soldier who has been incredibly fit and active but find that the motivation for that comes at the detriment of my spirituality, so I have let myself go waiting for a different spiritual motivation to be active. Weird but I feel the same in a small way as Ignatius. I am far from perfect and a sinner, I need God to help me. Becoming a Brother seems impossible yet the thought of it fills me with an exploding feeling of potential.

Wonderful. At Mass this morning, just after receiving the Holy Eucharist, kneeling in prayer, I found myself looking up and around at all the members of our parish and I was gradually aware of a deep sense of God’s love for me, of well-being and gratitude for all these people in our little parish whom I love so much. What was most remarkable about those few minutes was an awareness of the great and simple joy in following Jesus. In the possibility of choosing to live in his way, not mine. I recall thinking nothing profound, but rather, this is such fun. Being close to you God, is so…fun. The word felt inadequate, so I asked him if that was ok to describe the moment of closeness with him as fun. It was ok. I struggle with material possessions-having too much stuff. I recently decided to give it up and am donating bags of things, mostly clothes , to our parish rummage sale. So freeing. It made me immensely happy to hear Bishop Barron say that choosing the lowest place, sitting with the lesser individuals was more fun. Confirming that I am moving in the right direction. Oh happy fault!
When people don't follow the "Word of God", they are open to following the "word of culture" and become dependent on culture trends and government policy.
If anyone thinks the Bible is the "word of God" and not ancient authors speaking for their imaginary god, they need to read the below article from a critical Biblical scholar and spend some time reading the other articles on his website. Basically the Bible is Israelite propaganda. "So for example, when we read carefully what Yahweh says in the book of Leviticus, namely that the Aaronids (the sons of Aaron only), are high priests contrary to the Levites, that they alone are Yahweh’s mediators and the Levites are reduced to mere ministers of the Aaronids, that only through sacrifice can one atone for sins and not confession as preached by the Levites, or more precisely the Levite’s Yahweh, etc., *it can be no coincidence that in these laws and commandments,* ***which are placed on the mouth of Yahweh,*** *that Yahweh himself is presented advocating and legitimating the very views and beliefs of the specific priestly guild writing the text, and, contrary to the views and beliefs of their rivals, the Levites and the Levite’s Yahweh!* We will examine this more closely when we get to the contradictions in these books. But in short, this was the function of ancient literature, and we are allowing these ancient texts to speak for themselves. *In this particular case, the Levites and Aaronids wrote specific texts that each advocated their religious beliefs, views, and their position as high priests* ***by writing these sentiments directly into the mouth of their god!*** But just studying the Bible alone, scientifically, affords us the occasion *to see that many of these so-called words of Yahweh are* ***actually the very words of the texts’ authors.*** When we see numerous texts employing this ancient literary technique, and moreover, ***presenting Yahweh as the spokesperson for their own views and agenda,*** *and* ***contrary*** *to Yahweh’s other words in other texts written by other authors employing the same technique,* how can one conclude otherwise. In other words, when in the composite text that we now call the Bible we find: Yahweh declaring that only Aaronids can officiate as his priests and Yahweh declaring that all Levites can officiate as high priest; Yahweh declaring that sin is atoned through confession and Yahweh declaring that sin is only expiated through the sacrificial cult, no exceptions; Yahweh declaring that he gave laws and commandments at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that he only gave the Ten Commandments at Sinai; Yahweh commanding to exterminate all the Canaanites without pity and Yahweh declaring to tolerate them and live in their midst; Yahweh declaring that the wilderness generation were disloyal and rebellious and Yahweh declaring that they were a paradigm of loyalty and faith; Yahweh declaring that he may be offered sacrifices at any altar and Yahweh declaring that there is only one altar where sacrifices are to be offered up; Yahweh declaring that the people saw him at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that they only heard his voice; Yahweh declaring that circumcision is an eternal covenant and keeping the land depends on observing this very commandment and Yahweh declaring the Mosaic laws as the covenant and keeping the land is dependent on keeping these laws; Yahweh declaring that he dwells in the midst of the people and Yahweh declaring that he only resides in heaven; Yahweh commanding Passover to be celebrated by all at Jerusalem and Yahweh commanding it to be celebrated at each person’s home; Yahweh commanding that animals for consumption must be ritually sacrificed and Yahweh commanding that they don’t have to be sacrificed ritually, etc. ***one must conclude that Yahweh is being used by these authors, each with their own contrary views and beliefs as a spokesperson for each of these authors’ agendas.*** These are all the personal, and competing, views, theological beliefs, and religious systems of our biblical authors. @@ancientfiction5244 I like people who criticize the biblical literary words of the old and new testament and emphasize contradictions in the Bible. But I guess, it would be more intellectually persuasive if these critics tried in practice the spiritual exercises of the Catholic saints literally following the Christ literature and see the difference, if indeed this whole biblical Christ is nothing but Jewish propaganda and mere mythical write ups of the ancient authors and rewrite as words of mythical God.
What a joy to be underestimated. To stay a secret only God knows. A hidden treasure. To not seek but give. To be In the back, the last row in the corner and even then give your seat away and stand up. Because wherever we are Jesus is sitting with me and no joy is higher, no place better. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. -St. Francis of Assisi
Thank you Father you describe me so well when I was thinking of only about money enjoying my life with my friends now that I am disabled no one's around not even both of my families and my friends the only thing I have as my family is God Jesus and the Virgin Mary and St Joseph
You are rich in your emptiness. With Christ we have everything and the only way we can have Him, is to lose all the worldly desires. He has a purpose for you. Listen and learn as to what it is. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Ray,you have family you’ve not yet met... you are my brother in Christ. Please know I will pray for you by name each day, and will look forward to meeting you someday in our eternal home with our Lord. Until then... Mary
Thank you Jesus. The Lord has given me strength, to keep going, even though I want to give up. I have two beautiful boys both are autistic. My husband passed away years ago. I’m all alone. I lost my job over declining the vaccine. LIKE MANY OTHERS! I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my children since losing my job from Forsyth hospital. I’m now waitressing, and I’m thankful, but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Every month is a battle to not end up on the streets with my two children. I’m constantly in fear of losing my home. To even think about being on the streets with two young children is terrifying. But even as I face homelessness seemingly every month. I have faith, God will provide. With GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Faith over fear.
Amen! Good will preserve you and He has plans for you. May His love guide you always and help you always and preserve you always. My heart aches for you. God bless you!
I love this. “Opt out,” of whatever the world says you need (money, fame, excessive pleasure) Bishop Barren tells us. What freedom! John 8:36 tells us, “So if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” But to stay free in Christ is to give up that which draws us from Him. Active choice is required. We must choose to “opt out…” of whatever is distracting us from the will of God.
I tried too long to get a promotion at my current job agency and failed many times. I learned a few weeks ago to detach myself from that desire and to surrender to God what the Holy Spirit wills for me.
I love Aristotle’s stick analogy. I spent most of the summer pretty gluttonous, drinking and smoking and what not. When the college school year started back up I went completely in the other direction and it worked. It’ll help moderate your life. Of course I’m young and dumb so what do I know.
When I was in the dating world, it was miserable as I have to compete and constantly be my "best" self, only to get my heart broken again and again. But when I opted out, I met real genuine people
Thank you for your perfect explanation of the way we all are. Your sermon applies to me right now for the last 64 days where i gave up all i had but it was not voluntary but required because of my wife’s illness. I keep thinking how i am being taught this lesson by my Lord on this path. Thank you for your great Sermon.
The best. As always. I was told by right wingers Bishop Baron is too lefty and by so-called progressives he’s too conservative so I think that pretty much means he’s spot on! A light in the darkness
I'm reminded of that line by Yoda, "train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose." That's the remedy for idolatry (wrong worship), to recognize your disordered attachments and slowly work at letting go.
I used to pray and ask for lots of things. Now, I only pray for 1 thing; GOD's guidance. I only want to do His Will. It has taken away many fears I had.
“Table 135” is a great way to think of the world in view of this gospel reading. And yes, Bishop-we’ve all been there in some way, in our quest for the biggest, the best, or more of something that never satisfies. “Table 135” is the obscure place to find God’s will.
Thank you Bishop Barron. This is a sermon that I really needed to hear. My attachment is food and always being consumed by it that has led me to my eating disorder. I always needed to make some something. Now I'm ready to detach and opt out and saying I'm not playing this game anymore. Agere contra is my mantra. It's time for this and do God's will. God bless everyone who watched this awesome sermon. Thanks
I am struck by the Bishop including himself…we sinners…we are attached….an addictive power or money….everyone can identify. We all struggle…daily detachment. Table 135 A very interesting name for a course in humility.🌹
Padre: If I hadn’t found you in my journey of living as a newly widow.... I don’t know where I would be standing up today. I lost almost everything when my husband died and I have been living as a nomad with only a couple of backpacks. I get to realize that I don’t need much. I have prayed to our Lord for a little place. So far I think He wants me to continue being a nomad and I have found this way....... you don’t need much. Thank you Padre for all your reflections and advice 🙏🙏
super sermon ! the irony of it is i have a son who is out of the game, he is out of the church also, which is not good.i as his father ,am sad and worried about it as he was broughtup in a catholic school, and was given full catholic education with sunday school teaching .Please pray for his return to Lord Jesus and the gospel truth.
Yes dear father Rev.Bishop I am continuing to pray I strongly believe that our prayers will be answered very soon and Gods heavenly blessings and answer is on the way.A local priest who comes directly under the Pope predicted that he will soon return to the church and that he will be a better Catholic than I am.What a wonderful prediction!....Thanks be to God ! Greatly appreciate your prayers.God bless you all abundantly always!🙋🌹🌹🌹
Saint Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
A spiritual gift, this agere contra is clear and helpful way to reverse the bad patterns of our lives. Bishop Barron's explanation is clear, persuasive, eternally memorable. What do you want to get rid of in your behavior? Do the complete opposite, until you can rebound to a spiritually "happy medium." Sound advice that your spiritual life depends on? Thanks, Bishop Bob!
Incredible sermon. It just came at a time I needed it most. "Take the lowest place." How humbling and satisfying. I will 'Agere Contra.' Thank you Bishop Barron.
I said this very long ago, Bishop: "Give me a lever long enough and a point of support, and I will move the world." To go in the opposite direction, you need somewhere to step. THE FLOOR WAS SWEEPED UNDER MY FEET, THEN THE SKY, THEN THE WALLS, THEN TIME ITSELF. To use drugs as refuge NEVER should be called to have an addiction. That is an act of courage, pure instinct of survival, cause when EVERYBODY, save your mind and God, fails you, you allways need to GET HOOKED to something.
Fantastic. I opted out and got freedom. I live my life not searching for power or money. I find pleasure in nature, studies, prayers and listing to great people leaning to be a better person. In all this I need Jesus help. My wife feels the same. Bishop, thank you for explaining to us what Jesus thought us. Many of us do not understand. I do not understand. I need you and others like you to help me understand.
I like your story Bishop Barron about Aristotle and straightening the bent stick idea... It reminded me of a personal experience where I was walking and bent forwards searching for beach stones. after a while, I would developped a sore back where the pain was unbearable so I stood up straight and bend backwards for a while to correct and to get rid of the pain. The bend stick idea worked well for me and in the process, I discover the beauty of the clouds above.. rewarded for my pain!
I’ve just returned from Montserrat and Manresa . It was a very humbling experience. We had a private mass in the cave where Ignatius lived. It was wonderful . (September 2023 )
Opting out and it feels sublime! Thank you for confirming what I felt in my heart all along. Attaching to God only and his will. It just feels organically right, despite what culture and ego says.
I’m trying to act against my attachments and stop buying rocks off Etsy. It’s so trivial, but it’s really hard for me!! It’s showing me my real weakness. Please pray for me! This subject is perfect. I want to follow Jesus better.
Idolatry is a battle for me. eBay, Amazon purchases. Making February a “no buy” month for me. This video could not have come at a better time. Thank you.
Thank you Bishop Baron for unpacking this ... Truly appreciate it... It truly edifies my journey as a seminarian. God Bless You Always for the holy works that you do for the glory of Christ 🙇♂️❤️🙏🏾
Wow. Fantastic video. It’s exactly what I needed to hear. I’m so used to wanting people to like me and see that I’m a person of integrity. But what if I didn’t care at all? What if I were accountable to God - and God alone?
I"ve said it before, I'll say it again: there is no one, absolutely no one today saying what Bishop is saying. We're dying, because we refuse to listen and do.
As a student In the late sixties, my peers repeated one big word in their education -- relevance. If Bishop Barron's sermons are anything, they are... relevant. Not necesarily to the narrative themes inflicted upon us by today's media, peers or even the liberal churches I used to attend. HIs theme seems to me as relevant today as in the time of Ignatius. I pray and hope I can practice detachment often enough as a sinner to actively seat myself at table 135. Thank you again, Bishop Barron. I look forward to your sermon every Sunday.
I've come to realize that I have no possessions but every material thing I have possesses me because they interfere with our relationship, God and I thus man and I. I must view all I have as a blessing from God and ever be grateful. You see God no more wants us to part with our belongings no more than to pluck out our eye or cut off a limb but to realize everything we have is a blessing from God. We have much to be thankful for always and everywhere and most of all is life eternal whether it be in heaven or hell according to His righteous judgment.
I became a Catholic during Easter Vigil 2023 This homily knocked it out of the park for me (I still made the catch out in row 135 of the parking lot). There are couple of things cited Bishop Barron’s homily that have been on my mind for some time. I’m a songwriter, musician and singer. I have an album that is almost complete, but the producer has been incredibly slow at times. I reached a point in my frustration where I had to let it go. I tealized that the project should not be my primary focus. I must decrease so that He can increase. I’m way happier for it.
i was privileged to be on an ignatian pilgrimage in may of this year, before all the fires. and we saw the places you have spoken about. it was a very moving experience and yes, i liked loyola's home and manresa the best.
It has been well said that a "boor is someone who insists on talking about himself when you wish to talk about yourself." God desires us to get us out of ourselves in part so we can experience the liberty to appreciate His creation and all those who He brings into our lives. We are finally free to experience the great banquet the Lord has prepared for each of us.
It is said in the Gospels, to love the Lord above all; above self, family, friends, wealth, power, pleasure, honor or glory and the Gospels teach against any desire or love of these things more than the love one has for Our Lord Jesus Christ. God will ask more than we ask of ourselves. Our Lord will only entirely fill our souls when it is empty of all else.
@@rhwinner yes, to Love God above all is to love what God Loves. God Loves His children everlastingly, without limit, in abundance. God Loves His Beloved Son who loved us to the bitter end. Why the bitter end? Not because of His bitterness. God is without bitterness. Rather, to overcome human bitterness. Human nature looks at Christ's suffering Love in horror, externalizing it. The Divine nature looks on Christ's suffering and suffers for and with Him Who suffers for us. When Christ was dying, God The Father and God The Holy Spirit sustained Him while He bore the weight of all our sins that were being forgiven. They'd also sustain us as we bear one another's burdens, wouldn't They? All we have to do, in seeking to do the will of God The Father is turn from sin, ask, receive and accept Christ's loving forgiveness Who is doing the will of God, The Father. When Jesus gave us His body at the last supper to eat in remembrance of Him, He took, broke, blessed and gave it for our sanctification. Likewise, we when we receive forgiveness, He takes our sins, breaks the bonds of our debt which is death and blesses us for our sanctification and gives us for the sanctification of the world.
My husband and I were talking about being attached just yesterday. Bishop Barron's sermon brought so many things into the conversation that I hadn't thought about. Thank you Bishop.
Sadhu sadhu sadhu... thank you so much for sharing the importance of detachment from a Christian perspective. May all develop dispassion toward the web of worldly pleasures, cultivate equanimity of mind, and may all find enlightenment. 🙏
The constant quench of worldly stuff that gives us temporary pleasure is indeed drawing us farther from our Dear Creator & seems never ending!
My husband and I work hard but live simply. It’s very relaxing because we don’t worry about keeping up.
One of Barron's Best!
I am soooooooooooooooooo detached! Praise the Lord!
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

I like that prayer a lot, thanks for sharing.
St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us☆
St. Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us☆
Beautiful and thanks for sharing 🙏
St. Francis of Assisi. Thank you for this new revelation for me.
Go against your attachment: what a concept, it works.
Thank you Father you describe me so well when I was thinking of only about money enjoying my life with my friends now that I am disabled no one's around not even both of my families and my friends the only thing I have as my family is God Jesus and the Virgin Mary and St Joseph
Grace.❤️🙏❤️
🙏❣🙏
You are rich in your emptiness. With Christ we have everything and the only way we can have Him, is to lose all the worldly desires. He has a purpose for you. Listen and learn as to what it is. Thanks for sharing.
Please e see ostdon that was intended for you!
Thank
You Father Barron here is an 88yr old worn out so “opting out” as I try harder to do what I think ❤Jesus asks of me.
Table 135
Amen I can listen to this sermon again and again such a wonderful spiritual exercise PRAISE BE TO GOD
i keep coming back to this sermon, like a refreshing well. thank you, bishop barron.
Thus is scratching me right where I itch! Thanks be to God and to Bishop Barron.
I really like this sermon...humility is underrated in our modern world...thank you.
Thanks
"Table 135" is surely the place to be- the lowly table, the likely place to find our Lord Jesus. Thanks Bishop, as always.
I am struck by the Bishop including himself…we sinners…we are attached….an addictive power or money….everyone can identify. We all struggle…daily detachment.
Table 135 A very interesting name for a course in humility.🌹
Oh yes .....
Quite.
On the other hand, for some reason he's not in the lowest place
Bishop Barron is like Jesus talking to me..
Jesus I love you. All I have is yours. Yours I am yours I want to be. Do with me whatever you will.
The service at table 135 might be wanting -- but the view is superb. Thanks, Bishop Barron.
super sermon ! the irony of it is i have a son who is out of the game, he is out of the church also, which is not good.i as his father ,am sad and worried about it as he was broughtup in a catholic school, and was given full catholic education with sunday school teaching .Please pray for his return to Lord Jesus and the gospel truth.
Praying that your son will find his way back to Jesus and His church. Peace be with you.
@@PLSTruth Thanks for your kind concern and care.God bless you! Peace be with you too!
Thank you Bishop Barron. But first, thank God ;)
Bent stick analogy best simply explanation of mortification I’ve heard
Saint Matthew 19:21
Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Thank you Bishop Barron. You are a light in a world so full of darkness.
Bishop Barron, you are so right.. so much energy spent on these obsessions. Thanks for the wonderful sermon.
Bishop Barron, thank you so much for this lesson. I want to empty my house, & I'm making progress. I want to be where God wants me.
Incredible sermon. It just came at a time I needed it most. "Take the lowest place." How humbling and satisfying. I will 'Agere Contra.' Thank you Bishop Barron.
You preached on 22 Sunday!!
DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE GRACE YOU HAVE GIVEN TO THE BLIND MAN GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!
His very last comment “take the lowest place, it’s actually a-lot more fun”, it’s not. It’s humbling, like the Saints.
I admire people who can lead from behind.

I’ve just returned from Montserrat and Manresa . It was a very humbling experience. We had a private mass in the cave where Ignatius lived. It was wonderful . (September 2023 )
Thank you Bishop Barron 🙏🙏God bless your ministry 🙏🙏🙏
Indeed!
I really appreciate how much thought you put into your sermons. Thank you Bishop Barron. God bless you. Our Lady of Paisley pray for our world.

Thank you Bishop Barron for these Sunday Sermon series. They are so comforting and spiritually nourishing.
Nice 👍🏻 thanks Bishop for bringing us a pleasant history of Saint Ignacio Lopez or Saint Ignatius Loyola…
Let go and let God in.
I love table 135 too! It’s my jam! See you all there! 👊🥰💒
Opting out and it feels sublime! Thank you for confirming what I felt in my heart all along. Attaching to God only and his will. It just feels organically right, despite what culture and ego says.
You'll be breathing much freer spiritual air at table 135! Alleluia!
I’m trying to act against my attachments and stop buying rocks off Etsy. It’s so trivial, but it’s really hard for me!! It’s showing me my real weakness. Please pray for me! This subject is perfect. I want to follow Jesus better.
*Good homily dear Fr. God bless you and grant you good health and a cheerful heart ❤️ always'*. 🙏
Muchas gracias
Idolatry is a battle for me. eBay, Amazon purchases. Making February a “no buy” month for me. This video could not have come at a better time. Thank you.
Thank you Bishop Baron for unpacking this ... Truly appreciate it... It truly edifies my journey as a seminarian. God Bless You Always for the holy works that you do for the glory of Christ 🙇♂️❤️🙏🏾
God bless you all!
Right on target!
Wow. Fantastic video. It’s exactly what I needed to hear. I’m so used to wanting people to like me and see that I’m a person of integrity. But what if I didn’t care at all? What if I were accountable to God - and God alone?
I have longed to be at Table 135. Thank you for the invitation, Bishop.
I"ve said it before, I'll say it again: there is no one, absolutely no one today saying what Bishop is saying. We're dying, because we refuse to listen and do.
Peace be with you all
God bless you too!
Brilliant
One of a the few holding me together
I wish he was at our parish.
I became a Catholic during Easter Vigil 2023
This homily knocked it out of the park for me (I still made the catch out in row 135 of the parking lot).
Exactly right Bishop thank you god bless you
i was privileged to be on an ignatian pilgrimage in may of this year, before all the fires. and we saw the places you have spoken about. it was a very moving experience and yes, i liked loyola's home and manresa the best.
100% true Bishop!
Yes, but we must never forget the Great Commandment, in which all the Law and Prophets find their fulfillment, to love God _and_ neighbor. Grace.❤️🙏❤️
Bishop Barron thank you for your words, they are always so filled with God 🙏
Thank you for the lovely sermon, Bishop Barron!

Ve.ry nice, message
My husband and I were talking about being attached just yesterday. Bishop Barron's sermon brought so many things into the conversation that I hadn't thought about. Thank you Bishop.
Sadhu sadhu sadhu... thank you so much for sharing the importance of detachment from a Christian perspective. May all develop dispassion toward the web of worldly pleasures, cultivate equanimity of mind, and may all find enlightenment. 🙏
Wow !!!!! I don't even have words to describe the spiritual richness of this sermon. It's good beyond words.
That was a real balm on my heart. This is what I needed to listen to. God bless you bishop.
The constant quench of worldly stuff that gives us temporary pleasure is indeed drawing us farther from our Dear Creator & seems never ending!
Thank you so much Bishop Barron for this profound & deep reflection, praying for you & all the clergies, seminarians & bishops all over the world.
Only God can truly satisfy our heart, mind & soul, God Bless everyone!
Excellent Sermon, very helpful!
Thank you Father. I've only found true liberty with my eyes on Christ.
