They wanted to protect the chilldren sensitive to the force around all galaxy and destroy the inquisitors fortress so no more kids are turned into monsters. Inquisitors still exist, children are still being kidnapped, the fortress is still there. It's all a metaphor, by the way

I love this games depiction Vader. You can see how powerful he is, while simultaneously seeing how much his suit limits his range of mobility and movement.

Lord Vader always keeps his strength in reserve when starting a fight; gradually showing more of his power as it goes on to let his enemy despair and start making mistakes. I think that in this case, he just underestimated Cere.
@@Agadorn70you know the inquisitors are meant to be easily disposed of tools, that if they tried anything to vader or palpatine they'd just be held in place with the force and killed in a mere instance? Even the Grand Inquisitor wouldn't be strong enough to pose a threat.

His fighting style as Darth Vader is really like a juggernaut! To compensate for the loss of his former agility, he empowers his attacks with The Force, so his hits are very heavy.
I also think Vader was testing her to see if he could get her to flip to the dark side. If you remember in the first game he sensed her starting to use the dark side but Cal got her to stop and calm down. I think Vader was trying to push her but even after all that he couldn’t get her to budge so he gave her a warriors death for the great fight she put up.

I love how many times throughout the Star Wars franchise Vader has had a flaming wreck dropped on him in an attempt to kill him.
Including the time in rebels with the 2 at-dps which was nearly 23 tonnes of total weight
It's like the old 80s action trope of having the group of goons all unload their magazines into the hero's car at once. It never actually works, and usually just ends in moldering corpses litering the ground.
The Cal Kestis story line has painted Darth Vader at his best, just god mode ridiculously powerful. I personally feel like it is the best Vader we’ve had the privilege to see

He’s just an absolute Unit and what I love is that he was probably the hardest story boss fight in the game rather than the final boss which makes sense because he is Vader
As a story Boss he really wasn't that hard when I played at Master. The One-armed fallen Jedi killed me like 12 or more times during the last fight with him while Vader only killed me twice.

The fact she stood toe to toe with him for an actual fight and even got the better of him almost, once or twice, is really impressive.
She let go of her fear thats why she put up a good fight. In rebels what does ezra and kanan jarus say do you feel that its like that cold chill feeling. They were immediately afraid every jedi that sees darth vader is immediately intimidated. Cere finally overcame that and gave him one hell of a fight. These 2 games have better storylines than most of Disney's star wars movies and shows

@apairon2 I agree. Look, I don't care what color skin you are. I have a friend who has a genetic defect and suffers from dwarfism and is black. we are good friends, and he says the same thing. Are you a good person? That's all that matters. But to digress, it had nothing to do with a diversity hire she had good character development, and her arc was amazing. That's literally all I care about. Stop throwing real-world politics into movies and games! I want to have well written characters that I can relate to and become immersed into the story and not think about all the bs thats happening in the real world. Both fallen order and survivor did that. That's why I say these games are better than the sequels, and the majority of Star Wars content Disney has made. I don't like Rey as a character, but that doesn't mean I dont think Daisy ridley is a bad actress. The character she played just had no development. They destroyed iconic characters from the original 6 films its very frustrating. Just create good characters without the political agendas and stop labeling fans as all the ists that you can think of because they're disappointed in the story. Now im not saying there aren't toxic fans, but it's gotten to the point where if you didn't like the show or movie because of the story and bad character development. You're the problem. You're a toxic fan. you're a ist. It needs to stop.

I have to at least give Cere credit for trying to keep Vader at the very edge of her lightsaber range (a number of thrusts and quick jabs) because she knows that if she gets close enough for him to start swinging she just can’t hold him back. She could tell he had more limited mobility and reach and tried to use that. Vader has just faced all that already and overcome it before. Great fight choreography even for a shorter scene
Dooku the most gifted duelist of his time could no longer block Anakin's strikes.cere being even weaker physically definitely could do it. I but blocking his strikes was like trying to life 225 on a bench press. Just have to exert so much effort.

Yeah, can't exactly blame her for losing. Far stronger Jedi who had many, many more advantages died miserably to him and did far less damage.
Cere gave him a good fight and I think even Vader knew that. He didn't mock her or torment her, he stabbed her and left her to die quietly.

In a strange way, despite his hatred, I get the sense Vader looks forward to these encounters. When he’s giving orders or just going about his day to day life on a ship or among his troops he seems depressed. But the moment he’s able to fight a Jedi, he just seems so much more alive. Happy even. I can practically see him grinning under his helmet.

With the exception of only a few who can make vader block their swing. Only two types of jedi exist those vaders kill or those with a personal connection to vader that he can't seem to kill no matter how hard he tries.

She was an NPC in Forspoken I believe. And another game or two since Fallen Order.
Her likeness and voice was even in Wolfenstein 2 the New Colossus.
(I should go research this before I post it. But, I'm too lazy. And I'm pretty confident I confirmed it last year when I saw trailers for a few games with her in them. I'll edit in corrections if I'm wrong.)

Vader always had troubles with Masters in Canon even in Legends . And important thing Vader have such fear aura what makes all unprepared jedi lost, But Cere let go her fear and that’s why she could fight Vader at all her power.

Vader loves to challenge himself, so he would often just use one hand and even use his non-dominant hand, but he never lost. When he actually starts falling into his methods of actually being good at his job, instead of purposefully trying to get closer to death for the fun of it, you know he’s having fun
