Well done for making the life change.I’ve done the same except 11 months in the boat yard fixing my boat. In the water for 1 month now. The keys look amazing. My first voyage was in the pacific, storms and big seas . Scary as hell but life changing. Keep making the great videos ⛵️
Thanks man let me know if u see anything I can do better, the videos aren’t getting as much as my first few and can’t figure out why, feel like I’m improving but I’m not lol
Hey brother! i has been started watching your channel has 1 week and i think exactly how you think about the life. really life is it, it's hard break the chains and awaken to what it's. I've the same dream about life that you. I'm glad you're making your dream come true. i'm torn between make a turn around the world sailing... and one problem is the question about water. could you take a look about the portable desalination unit from MIT? it's portable solar panel, which can be purchased online for around $50 but as i live in brazil, i don't have acess here.
I just collect rain water off my boat lol it’s in the next episode tomorrow I can’t a desalination unit for sale for 50$ they have cheap osmosis filters but not for saltwater
@@OffgridOceanLife I think I expressed myself poorly, I did more research here about the system and its process is ICP (ion concentration polarization). There is a video on TH-cam with the name: ''2021 World Water Day Judges Choice: Creative Communication - Portable Desal. Unit For Hydration'' from the J-WAFS at MIT channel. I'm curious about this desalinator, it could change life on board, maybe it will help you
Maaan funny u say that, I took my drone over to one of these mangrove areas by me and there’s hundreds of I think huge redfish, wish I could put a video up here cause I’m not positive what they are but I’m taking my dinghy out there soon to try and catch them lol
@OffgridOceanLife Might well be Redfish, also could be Snook. Anchor ⚓️ up take the dingy in closer is what I was thinking. That area is great for Snook and Reds. I'm jealous of your drone. Really wish I had one for my boat. Mine is a 1975 Aquasport 170, of course with no kind of raised tower or raised platform. Sometimes, under a couple of bridges, I can barely squeeze the console under, I even took the raised bow railing off in favor of low rails. Easier, too for cast net tossing. I like the fact that there a very few bridges I can't go under, even at high tide. A drone would be awesome for target spotting, no doubt. 👌 Still unimpressed with flight time between charges, and time to recharge. Lol would need 3 or 4 batteries rotating through chargers. Bah.
@@FrankJohnson-d5v u got to see this video and how many of them there are lol definately not snook though , no boats can get to it because of how shallow the entrance is but I can get my dinghy there, I’m excited to go down there. But yea the one I have has a 35 minute flight time it’s not to bad
I have watched almost all of your vids and I have not seen any commercials placed by TH-cam. I am not familiar with how exactly this works but you may have to select somewhere an option for them to advertise on your vids so you can make money. I could be wrong but it’s strange I haven’t seen a single add yet.
@OffgridOceanLife let us know how we can help so it happens faster. I really like your videos and would pay you to learn how to sail. You should do some online classes or even in person. It may sound weird but guess what, I am about to buy a boat and I have no clue how to sail and I need to learn from real life because the books I am reading don’t help much.
@@ke2delight thanks :) you could join my patreon if u wanted to help me out, I’m actually going to do a video here soon on how to sail and make it easy to understand and if you have any questions I’m all ears
Speckled trout... we call them Weakfish or Weakies up north. They grow to up to around 30" and can even get them on the troll when that large. In my opinion, top 5 best eating fish. If I were you, I'd turn off the reel clicker once you hook up. It's annoying to listen to and burns out the mechanism prematurely.
Yea I’ve seen pictures of them that big. I haven’t caught any bigger than 2 foot here.i usually would have turned off the clicker but I was just fishing in 8ft right off the boat, probly should do it next time just for the sake of the video though lol thanks for the comment
I’m gonna do another fishing/living off the ocean video soon I learned a lot and think I can do better :)
Catch and cook would be a nice one 🙂
@@is94227 yuuup I was thinking the same thing :) thanks for reassuring it lol

Amazing how the power boats got the entire ocean but they have to come 15 foot away from your boat
I love fishing...I'm just no good at it LOL
Yea I fish lazy and just drop it off the back of my boat at anchor, sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I don’t get a bite for days

Ahah Yeep :)
So many specs. Only good if you're starving to death 🥵. Love me some Cobia too but my favorite is Redfish 😊
