I have had it sharpened since I bought it. The stones I sharpen are Naniwa Super Store (3k, 5k, 8k, 12k) and the sharpening method is the one specified by the manufacturer.
I have the same question about those who climb to the top of the Himalayas... What I see as problems and expenses, for them are the beautiful moments of everyday life, which give them joy. Each of us has our own beautiful moments and it doesn't matter if anyone understands them...
Many people use for hobby. For others is it impossibile shave without a shavette or a straight razor., because beard is too strong! Razors use and throw are garbage but if your beard is soft and don't know a real razor it's ok😂
The reason why I started straight razor shaving is because cartridge razors used to give me around 9 billion spot nicks on my neck no matter how careful I was. The shave you get with practice is phenomenal. I have a kamisori from Japan myself which I paid around £90 for, needed some sharpening but it also provides a fantastic shave, plus these razors become collectible and appreciate in value long as they’re looked after.

I don't understand why somebody would go through all such trouble and spending just to shave, but who am I to judge?
