True story! In 1993, when my son was 4 years old, I took him for a ride on my Suzuki dual sport. He was on back holding on for dear life as we were ripping along on top of a levee. We came upon an unexpected large sink hole covered by grass. At about 40 MPH I had no time to react, and the bike did an endo! My son rode my back all the way to the ground and through my entire face slide! I broke a coupe of fingers, but barely noticed my pain as I was immediately concerned about my son. No need to be concerned; he was giggling uncontrollably and said "do it again Daddy, do it again"! I of course gave him the warning as we limped the bike back home, "do not tell your mother or you'll never be allowed to ride with me again"! Telling mom was the very first thing he did when we got home!

As a father of a 15 year old girl who has never shown any interest in my motorcycles or ever wanted to watch MotoGP or WSBK with me, when she recently asked if I could take her out for a ride on my Scrambler 1200… well I immediately dug out my wife’s old riding gear and took her for a spin. We’ve since gone out a few other times and have had a blast. She’s been asking for me to teach her how to ride so perhaps a little 150cc dirt bike is in her future! Enjoy the time with your kiddos, as cliche as it sounds “they grow up so fast” is unfortunately very true.

I used to secure my daughter using a backpack with a chest buckle and waist buckle in front of me, in my 150cc motorcycle. Since that's the transportation I got to see my daughter, she was 3 years old when we started. Using a small size adult helmet,Sometimes she falls asleep and every time we are on a stop sign, people always asked if she is ok. back then authorities doesn't care much. If did that today, not only i get a ticket but probably get arrested 😅.As she grew older, my POV got more challenging. I literally saw my daughter grow as time goes by😢.now she is 19.

So, in the 70’s and early 80’s my dad had a CB750 and I grew up on the back of it. My mom decided it would be a great idea to get a 50CC moped to ride to work. The only hang up was that she had to drop my baby brother off at the setter on the way. Dad installed a folding bicycle baby seat they already had from when older brother was a baby in the 60’s on it. Every morning she strapped him all bundled up on it with almost 20 year old plastic straps to ride the couple blocks behind her. The things they did back in the day.

Both the sound of the much more angry two stroke, and the "training wheels" effect got the better of him.

My daughter is 2 and already thinks motorcycles are cool without really seeing me ride more than a couple times. I hope one day she'll be interested in riding with me or solo but... No rush 😊
Thank you guys for this, the ending had me tearing up with joy.

This was a great episode! Production quality is outstanding!Congrats to you new fathers, take Zack’s advice “go slow” as time passes too quickly. As a 57 year old father of two children now in their 30’s the ending made me tear up, I can remember like it was yesterday what you are both now experiencing. Spend as much time as possible with them!❤

Back in 1977 Dad took me to run errands on his motorcycle.... I was 3 years old and sat on the gas tank in front of him for 100 miles and laughing the whole time🤣 ! According to Dad he got tired of riding before I did! I still remember parts of that ride to this day! We had matching tee shirts😊 awesome time

I lived 8 years in my wife's country (Philippines). Had the pleasure of riding my new born son home on the back of my motorcycle with Mama holding him. Also each day to preschool, kindergarten and elementary. Our motorcycles was our family car. My son and wife immigrated to the US when my son was 12 years old. My son never knew what if felt like to sit in a child seat. Thank you guys for the excellent content. Peace and love.

The book Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, was basically about riding your kid around, and not realizing he’s staring at your back, till the very last bit…

One of my first memories was riding with my father on his vespa at the age of 5. Eventually his bikes would become bigger and I was always riding with him. When I turn 14 he asked me what would I like as a birthday present. I asked him to teach me how to ride... I am 53 years old and i am still riding all year round! I Love my dad for being so immature to introduce me to the most addictive drug in the world ❤.

One of my very earliest memories was sitting between my dad and the tank of his Kawasaki G3SS and going back and forth to Grandpa's house through fields and dirt roads. I was probably 2 or 3 years old. I'm not sure how we got away with it, even back then, but it's definitely a special memory. This video reminded me of those days, silly as it is

I dont remember how old I was when I first got to ride around on the back of my dad's Harley, but my kid was 5 when i first started taking him places on my bikes. Once he had his helmet he started out in front of me on my dual sport, a year later he rides on the back seat of my old bmw. Its been great for both of us. He has his own little dirtbike now (he's 7) and loves it. The only real downer is when some busy body comes up and tells you "Thats so dangerous, I cant believe blah blah blah".

My little guy has been able to sit nice and steady on my bike, but he isn't on it often. He did get to make Daddy's bike go vroom vroom a couple times yesterday. Even though it scared him with the BIG vroom he made it do, he still smiled and liked it a lot. Funny and great video guys. :)

I had a 1977 KZ650 (great bike) with a Vetter Windjammer fairing. I used to take my 3 yo nephew on it all the time, fairly long rides. He would sit up on the tank, behind the Windjammer, gripping the mirrors. He loved it!
Also, sometimes my sister would ride too, behind me, with her infant daughter snuggled between us, in a fabric carrier. (Don’t know what those things are called). So, we had four aboard! Sometimes got some strange looks from other motorists but seemed perfectly safe to us! This was in SW Oregon and sometimes San Jose, California.

I started riding with my baby corgi when she was 7 weeks old. She started in a haversack inside my jacket then graduated to a homemade tank bag with windshield. My little corgi fit perfectly on the long tank of my cb550 café racer, she loved riding around town and on road trips.
