THIS! One of the most frustrating things I see is people assuming that all afab people know how to wear femme clothes/take care of their hair/do basic makeup/whatever, and it just isn't true. Even worse, if you go to cis creators for advice, they tend to assume you have way more knowledge about "basic" stuff than you do, so they skip over tons of little things that ultimately make it impossible to actually follow their tutorials or whatever correctly.

I may never look as "obviously XX" as you do, but for the moment "maybe not obviously XY" will go a long way for me. :)
If you're buying anything online and you have to take measurements when it shows waist or natural waist, this is the part they're measuring! (Hip measurements are on your hip bones and male waist measurements) Caveat to this is it doesn't always apply fashion measurements are horrible inconsistent 😅
I'm 29, Im wearing shorter skirts than I did at 21 I'm leaning into it. You only live once, wear what you love! I loved my looong skirts in my early 20s, now I'm loving my short skirts. Maybe in 10 years I'll wear both 😂
I wish I knew that when I bought my first skirt. I realized after I had been wearing it for about a week and since I didn't know I had a size too small.

i learned this with regards to pants and shorts very early on! i like how long my legs look when i wear my shorts up on my waist. it also makes my body look more continuous since i've got a big belly and wearing shorts or pants at my hips would make it stand out way more

Mens styles used to have the waist higher up on the natural waist, but it went out of fashion. I work with a lot of period costumes, and I'm constantly nagging men to stop pulling their waistband down.

Whatever pace makes you happy and comfortable you should take. I will say it gets harder as you get older due to secondary sex AMAB characteristics especially hair loss. But that's why I began my transition at 24 to reverse those things. From my experience the less you pass the more negatives you receive from society for presenting femme as AMAB

Irl i see more girls just wear normal jeans. If you wear a skirt i think you'll stand out and be that one cool person in town who wears a skirt.
