    Wow! Cool idea! I've done a little upgrade and when you click on notification bell then you have a bookmark display on above the report, where you can scroll through older notification. It's super helpful when you update the reports rarely but with more improvements. Thank Bas!

    Not only is this a great tutorial, but also the example report being used to showcase these steps looks amazing. I would love to see a video going over all of the steps that went into that design, including modeling.

    Amazing as always!!! I tried this and also went ahead to give conditional formatting to the notification oval. If count of notification < 1, then rgba transparency is max and if count >=1, then rgba transparency is min.

  • @BobbyRauch
    @BobbyRauch ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Cool idea, but I think if I was the target audience, I might prefer something more along the lines of a clickable bell with actions similar to the Slicer Panel that other channels have shown. That way you can format it how you want just like this, and you can click on the items as you please. I'm not sure how that improves on your option, but it provides an alternative.
    I might also put a blank button with its icon as the saved SVG file, in order to have colors and size change when hovering or pressing the button in order to feel more like a web interaction. You would do the colors and icons in PowerPoint still, and the icon would change depending on its status as Default, Hover, or Press.

    • @HowtoPowerBI
      @HowtoPowerBI  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you could write a measure with ISFILTERED to check if the field of the slicer has a selection.. if so then show color otherwise full transparency

    GJ Bas, only thing that could get confusing is for example 8 new msg in last 3 days but only showing 5 :) so your noti will say 8, but only show 5, for the rest good job, never stop with this :)

    • @HowtoPowerBI

      create this measure ->
      Show Notification Counter =
      IF(
      [Nr Notifications] = 0,
      "rgba(0,0,0,0)"
      )
      then apply conditional formatting to the circle fill and text color with that measure
