    For anyone using the single burner butane cartridge stoves Colin is replacing: the most reliable, affordable source of the fuel is any authentic ethnic foods store. That is a highly standardized stove design that's a household staple in Asian and developing countries.

    Thanks Dude! I thought it looked pretty cool. You have to wonder why Coleman didn't make several kinds of these in the past.

    The Stove looks good . You can use that adaptor you have to refill your 1 lb container from a 25 lb container ,. I have been doing it for years. Many vids on U tube how to do. Stay safe my friend

    Really appreciate this review, was deciding whether or not this was a good buy when I came across it on Amazon, and it was extremely helpful to see an oven to human ratio 🤣 the dimensions confused me. Glad to see bus life is successful for you too man keep going

    Nice little unit. I have the propane shower from that company. It works great, better then most.
    I was so impressed by the shower I'm picking up a two-in-one camping stove from High crew.
    Love the tiny oven. Maybe one day I'll get it to.

    • @ColinAdventures
      @ColinAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Id really like to look into that shower. I don’t currently have a good shower solution.

    • @bryanshoemaker6120
      @bryanshoemaker6120 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ColinAdventures there are far more compact options but if you're going to be in high elevation,, freezing temps & low oxygen. 5k in elevations & up. Hike crew shower can heat water hot even when there's a blizzard. Never had the propane lines freeze up. I now save a lot of money on propane because the shower can heat up the water to 100f in the minute compared to 15 minutes with a stove. I can preheat a 7 gallon jug of water in less than 10 minutes.
      If you spend all your time in fairly warm location. The hike crew shower is overkill.
      If you are in high-elevation and possible life-and-death situations. There is no other choice.
      I have been using my shower daily, multiple times a day for 4 years now. I have not had any problems.

    Accidentally run across this stove on Wayfair then looked up a video. Appreciate the advice on the Coleman stove, for I have purchased 3 Coleman flat stoves for Christmas gifts now thinking of returning them. Thank you for your video. Will subscribe.

    You could use a 5 lb propane tank . Their about 50.00 but refills are cheap.

    I'm pretty sure I have that little burner Coleman stove, and I have an adapter that lets you connect to a 1 pound or bigger propane tank.

    • @ColinAdventures
      @ColinAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’re talking about the small single burner stove, you probably have a slightly different version. The version I had could only run on those small butane canisters.I believe there are other versions that are dual fuel, maybe even just propane.

    Can I use this to heat my hunting box blind and how much gas has it been using?

    • @ColinAdventures
      @ColinAdventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wouldn’t unless you have really good ventilation. It’s not intended for indoor use. Last weekend I did some baking with it inside a cheap pop up tent with windows open and it did heat up the place.
      It’s fairly efficient on fuel. I cooked normally with it every day for a while and my one pound bottle would last about a month. That was a mix of stove top and baking.

    I have this same stove. How long did the 1 lb propane last?

    • @ColinAdventures
      @ColinAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was about a month usually. That was cooking about one meal a day on it and only turning on the oven 2-3 times.

    • @campingkupcakez
      @campingkupcakez ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ColinAdventures thanks now I don't feel the need to buy a 5 lb propane tank.

    • @ColinAdventures
      @ColinAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s worth trying out the 1lb bottles first and see how far it gets you. They’re a lot cheaper than the 5lb tanks anyways.

    • @campingkupcakez
      @campingkupcakez ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ColinAdventures I totally agree. I think I have the adapter for the 1 lb bottles.

    • @marceld6061
      @marceld6061 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ColinAdventures The 5lb tanks are more expensive to purchase up front but compare the cost of refilling the 5lb tank vs buying 5 one pound tanks. I found it pays for itself on the second refill.

    • @ColinAdventures
      @ColinAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The oven doesn’t get particularly hot on the outside except maybe near the air vent on the back of the oven. It’s definitely not meant to be used in an enclosed space though. Sitting on a table or countertop, it doesn’t get too hot on the outside.
