  • Kira (kirawoods.com) reviews in this part 5 video of the Suit of Wands the meaning and interpretation of the Wands Court Cards - the fire element of the Minor Arcana Tarot. Using the Universal Waite Tarot Deck, Kira (kirawoods.com), explores the meaning and interpretation of the Suit of Wands reviewing all the Wands Court Cards in this video. This video includes a description of Page of Wands Tarot Card Meaning, Knight of Wands Tarot Card Meaning, Queen of Wands Tarot Card Meaning & King of Wands Tarot Card Meaning. The Court Cards lead our way into the Minor Arcana aka "pips". The Court Cards are some of the most challenging cards of the Tarot to interpret. The question is often asked is the card representing the energy of someone around me or someone of importance to the situation. Either way the significance of the card is to explore the attributes, skills, abilities and essence the card represents and apply it to the reading as either and aspect of your own inner personality that needs to shine or that which someone brings into the situation. When you give a reading trust you will know in the moment and notice what you notice in the card and how it speaks within the reading. Thank you for viewing my video. I hope you enjoyed it and found it both of value and inspiration. If yes, please hit the "Like" thumbs up and share :). To find more of my videos remember to SUBSCRIBE to my channel. Julie hi
Firstly sorry for my tardy response I've been moving house so lifes been rather crazy. I really appreciate your feedback and kind thoughts. I will definitely take on board your request that I go into more depth with the court cards. I have plans to do a series of additional training videos and I'll add that to my list. At the moment I'm homeless so a bit of a gypsy so I will need to wait until I have a place to call home again in order to be able to create the videos. So stay posted and once I have some more definite plans I'll be in touch. Blessings Kira

Thanks for the suggestion. The court cards hold a vast pond of hidden magic. Ive been working on some new material but have had challenges with technology so havent been able to upload to my channel. Arg. My initial videos i used a camcorder, which is now so out of date. So i made some new ones with my smartphone. The problem is my lack of technology skill getting the video from the phone to a computer. Plus i made them in portrait view not realising how that looked on playback. Another lesson learnt. Im Going to try again in a few days and if successful will then look at new court card video. Anything specific about them you would like?

It is important to remember that the Rider Waite court cards should be listed and paired up in this order:
Knight, Queen, King, Page. Not ,King, Queen, Knight, Page. It may seem counter intuitive and simply wrong to pair up the Queen with the Knight; but the Rider Waite Knight is really the King. The RW King actually corresponds to the Prince in the GD’s (Golden Dawn's) Book T.
According to the instructions in Book T, Kings ride on horseback, Queens are seated on thrones, Princes ride in chariots and the Princesses should be standing or walking..
For reasons that are not altogether clear to me the RW deck made the Princess into a Page. In the RW deck, Knights ride on horseback, Queens are seated on thrones, his Kings are seated on thrones instead of riding in a chariot and Pages are portrayed as standing or walking.
Crowley’s Thoth deck is actually closer to the instructions in Book T then RW. Crowley has his Knights on horseback corresponding to the GD King and RW Knight; his Queens are seated on thrones, Princes ride in chariots and the Princesses are standing or dancing. or holding a weapon.
In Book T, Kings dominate in the mutable signs of the zodiac, Queens dominate in the cardinal signs of the zodiac and Princes dominate in the fixed signs of the zodiac.
Here’s some proof that RW Kings are really the Princes. of Book T. Take a close look at the RW King of Pentacles (Disks), he is seated on a throne (and not riding a horse like the Knight of Pentacles) the Bull of Taurus is prominently displayed on the capitals of his throne.
Taurus is the fixed sign of earth and Princes dominate in the fixed signs of the zodiac. If the RW King really were ‘’King,’’ in the GD sense; then he would have nothing to do with Taurus, but instead would rule two thirds of Virgo, the mutable sign of earth. Edward Waite the creator of the RW deck knew the correct zodiacal attributions, being a member of the GD.
    BOOK T.
THE PRINCE OF PENTACLES (Disks) He rules from 20° Aries to 20° Taurus- April 11-May 10. He rules these small cards:
The four of Wands is the third decan of Aries. Venus in Aries. April 11-20
The five of Pentacles is the first decan of Taurus. Mercury in Taurus. April 21-30
The six of Pentacles is the second decan of Taurus. Luna in Taurus. May 1-10
THE KING OF PENTACLES (Disks) He rules from 20°Leo to 20° Virgo.- August 12-September 11. He rules these small cards:
The seven of Wands is the third decan of Leo. Mars in Leo. August 12-22
The eight of Pentacles is the first decan of Virgo. Sol in Virgo. August 23- September 1
The nine of Pentacles is the second decan of Virgo. Venus in Virgo. September 2-11

@@kirawoods Thank you for comment :) I think it's important if you want to deeply study the Qabalistic background of tarot as it was understood by the Golden Dawn and Crowley. The symbolism of the Knight on horseback, representing the original issue of energy and the Yod of yhvh.etc Crowley puts it well in this qute fro the Book of Thoth:
.GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FOUR DIGNITARIES
The Knights represent the powers of the letter Yod in the Name. They are the most sublime, original, active part of the Energy of the Element; for this reason they are represented on horseback and clad in complete armour. Their action is swift and violent, but transient. In the Element of Fire, for instance, the Knight corresponds to the Lightning flash; in the Element of Water, to Rain and Springs; in that of Air, to Wind; in that of Earth, to Mountains. It is very important as a mental exercise to work out for oneself these correspondences between the Symbol and the Natural Forces which they represent; and it is essential to practical Magical work to have assimilated this knowledge.
The Queens represent the letter Heh of the Name. They are the complements of the Knights. They receive, ferment, and transmit the original Energy of their Knight. Quick to receive that Energy, they are also fitted to endure for the period of their function; but they are not the final product. They represent the second stage in the process of creation whose fourth and last state is material realization. They are represented as seated upon thrones. This emphasizes the fact that they are appointed to exercise definite functions.
The Princes represent the Forces of the letter Vau in the Name. The Prince is the Son of the Queen (the old King’s daughter) by the Knight who has won her; he is therefore represented as in a chariot, going forth to carry out the combined Energy of his parents. He is the active issue of their union, and its manifestation. He is the intellectual image of their union. His action is consequently more enduring than that of his forbears. In one respect, indeed, he ac quires a relative permanence, because he is the published record of what has been done in secret. Also, he is the “Dying God”, redeeming his Bride in the hour, and by the virtue, of his murder.
The Princesses represent the He’ final of the Name. They represent the ultimate issue of the original Energy in its completion, its crystallization, its materialization. They also represent the counter-balancing, the re-absorption of the Energy. They represent the Silence into which all things return. They are thus at the same time permanent and non-existent. An audit of the equation 0=2.
The Princesses have no Zodiacal attribution. Yet evidently they represent four types of human being. They are those numerous “elemental” people whom we recognize by their lack of all sense of responsibility, whose moral qualities seem to lack “bite”. They are sub-divided according to planetary predominance. Such types have been repeatedly described in fiction. As Eliphaz Levi wrote: “The love of the Magus for such creatures is insensate, and may destroy him”.
