I don't see why this work should not be considered on a par with the Bartok concertos. Especially the middle movement is beautiful.
Of course. Very beautiful. And it's a lot tighter than Peteris Vasks' Violin Cto.
Not all of Bartok's music is wonderful, by any means.
Better than Bartok.
I have to disagree with all of you. One bar of Bartók's second concerto is worth more than this entire work.
