    Good job. I am so pleased with all the ladies that are coming online lately showcasing their skills and projects. I really hope that it inspire more ladies to either break the ice and started showcasing their projects - even if it is beginners level or that more and more ladies take up woodworking. It is such a fulfilling hobby / career.

    I personally use 4 dowels and drill the holes thru the spoil board together with stock. Usually very precise and I get to keep the same x0y0

    Not only educational - but I could watch this over and over just to listen to that wonderful accent!.. I think I'm in love!

      with CNC?

  • @bw162
    @bw162 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am confused because the leave you carved was not the same one you created in the companion video. But more interesting is that the toolpath strategy was different with much more material removal beyond the outside dimensions of leaf model itself. Am I missing something?

    ı saw your software very usefull. i recommend every woodworker cnc operator should use vectric aspire. omg its very good cnc machining software.

      Also, far too bloody expensive! Only commercial operators can afford this 'ware. Hobbyists... no chance.
      Bearing in mind this is supposed to sell the software, it's noticable by it's invisibility.
      No mention of how to program the 'flip', or how to locate position of the dowels in the spoilboard.
      Part of her early explanation is so muffled, it's incomprehensible.
      Pretty bad show for such a good app.

    Hello ! In how many time is ready one leafe bowl from start to finish with this router...? Please answere !!! And the name(model) of this cnc and the price of it....thank's !

    • @vectric
      @vectric  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Dan... thanks for the questions. The time it takes all depends on your CNC and the tools you plan to use... also the material. Making this in "pine" would take less time then in "maple". The CNC we used in this video is a ShopBot, and you can inquire with them on pricing. Hope that helps.

    How can I copy the top face to the back of the piece, in order to make complex shape with exactly the same material thickness throughout the final product?

    where have you set your WCS zero for this particular project? Stock corner, or a specific feature in your leaf design. making the 3 holes for pins in the stock, then flipping the part over on mirrored holes allows you to set the design parallel to the x and y-axes after the flip - so how have you measured the {0,0,0} after flipping the part? :) Thanks

      @vectric  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Viorel, If you take a look at these videos hopefully that should help answer you questions: th-cam.com/video/J7LyyO6svKo/w-d-xo.html Thanks :)

      @@vectric I watched yout video but it didn't answer my simple question....

    • @vectric
      @vectric  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ViorelStolea Hi Viorel, The X0 Y0 for both sides is set to the lower left hand corner (on the top side it would have been roughly at the lower left hand corner of the material, and for the bottom side any where on the spoil board (ensuring there is space for the part to flip over)) The Z0 for the top side is set to the top of the material block and the Z0 for the bottom is set to the Material Surface (referencing from the same face) I hope this answers your question :)

    • @ViorelStolea
      @ViorelStolea 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vectric Thank you. So you used a point on the stock, not a point of a feature you already machined. Got it!

    You did a great job. I am new to the CNC world and have my CNC machine on order, is there anyway I could get the G code for this project from you?

    • @vectric
      @vectric  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dan, thank you for your kind comments and that's great news I bet you are ever so excited!! We don't actually have the file for this model available however I did a series of tutorials making bowls and the leaf bowl is fairly similar to this one here. We don't provide the gcode, just the file for you to save out in the Post Processor you require. The file can be downloaded from your V&Co account, I hope this helps :)

    I am just thinking that surely you should plane the stock square or at least parallel on the sides you are milling. Great result though.

      She's not the only one. I've checked out two other CNC channels and they all neglect to talk about the non-trivial exercise of how to organize the toolpaths for the pins.

    Hi.
    What do the springs on the Z axis assembly do?
    also
    what has become of the prequel to this video?
    also
    the moving table gives me a migraine but i still have to watch!
    Thanks,
    Rob.

    • @T70781
      @T70781 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      RobSmathome they counterbalance the weight of the moving parts of the z axis so the z motor is less likely to miss steps and won't run as hot as it would otherwise.

      If you go to vectric.com and search through the menus there are plenty of tutorials to take you from absolute beginner to well trained. They are also all on TH-cam as far as I know too. I’ve been learning from these and they are exceptionally well done and easy to follow along with and it doesn’t take long to get the hang of even the more exacting parts of the program. A fair learning curve but worth the climb.

    素敵です。テーブルベースが可哀想なことになってますね。両面NC加工するのであれば、マテリアルの木材の外周をしっかり加工し、外周を囲って位置決めすれば、何個でも量産できるね。今ひとつ工夫が必要だね。

    И какой смысл этого видео ? Что у вас есть ЧПУ и вы им умеете работать ? Вы бы хотя бы после смены фрезы говорили или писали их параметры , софт , а так все знают что на ЧПУ можно фрезеровать.
