I had a hippie friend who somehow knew them. He told me the scotch guard story, and said that they recorded several songs on the same sections of tape as other songs, then gave them to the engineer with no notes, so the guy had to guess whether or not the parts were intended to go together or were just separate songs on the same section of tape. As an experimental musician, that immediately piqued my interest and though it wasn't my cup of tea, I have always appreciated their approach, and love their more polished later work.
Fun fact: Even though no scotch guard was inhaled, the mask Gene is wearing on the cover is a "Nitrous N20 Inhalant Bong". You can see him taking a hit of it on the cover of Weens "The Pod Outtakes" album.
I love this. I went to Ween this year on Valentines day in Phoenix and it was the perfect venue size. I'm probably close to your mom's age and relivin Ween's timeless tunes all over again. They're the best and you, Weenkid, are too. Awesome job dude.

Not everyone who attempts to make art realizes the importance of limits because they create a circumstance where one must struggle in (positive terms)to carve out their own voice. There must be a wall for the wall to be breached and broken down to make way for new paths. If you wait for the perfect conditions they will never come. :) it’s you that drives the train - and does the work. Keep it up!
