I'm nearby Sacramento and I have a remote job, so I can live anywhere. Housing is too expensive here. I'm thinking of Oroville for its cheap housing. Makes me feel happy there are many homes under $300k.
I was born in Oroville and grew up there. It was a beautiful little town . We would go swimming in crystal spring water out in the middle of nowhere. I have awesome memories of this place. I left and came to Texas but I did go back there but it wasn’t the same. Texas has my heart now ❤
Hi There! For the rental market Oroville has built a lot of apartments throughout the city recently if your looking for an apartment. We have great lenders that have a lot of different first time home buyer program if you would like us to connect you with one to see what kind of options you have. For the weather, Oroville will have all four seasons with some summer days getting over 100 and cooler winter days, but does not see snow unless your up closer to the Berry Creek area outside of Oroville. Feel free to give us a call at 530-632-9028 and we'd love to talk to you about your situation and see how we may be able to help.
The cons that were left out is the county jail is located there, the drug abuse is rampant and there are many areas that are dilapidated. While it has potential, until they deal with the drug abuse and vagrancy it is a bit sketchy.
Hi there! PG&E has different options for how you’re charged for electricity so I’d definitely check out their website for more information. As far as insurance goes, it really depends on where in Oroville you are. Most of Northern California has to deal with fire insurance but we have had really good ability to help our clients find reasonable policies. Would be happy to talk with you more about it!
Can you elaborate just a bit? We have many First Responder type jobs available in Butte County. What type of Fire Protection job are you specifically thinking of?
Keep tuning into our videos! We will continue to share events and fun things to do in Oroville. You may be surprised that there are more things to do than you even know yet. :)
I grew up there. I’ve lived in Alaska for the last 8 years. NO, Oroville is definitely not a good place to live. Moving out of California has been the best decision I’ve ever made! 😂
@@TuckerUp the apartments are mostly all low income, yes they are! I lived in Oroville most of my life, I most certainly know what I’m talking about! I drove trash trucks for Recology for 17 years and made just a little too much money to get an apartment for a family of 4!! The apartments are full of roaches anyway!! 😂

Hi Sierra. What's the electric rate during peak and off-peak? Is home insurance higher in Oroville because its near fire risk areas?

Did you know the toothbrush was invented in Oroville? It's true! Because if it was invented anywhere else, it would have been called the teethbrush.
Omg, such an outdated lame joke. I grew up in oroville and that was a lame old joke back in the 90’s.

Right. Oroville sucks. The job market is almost obsolete.
@@wandajackson2746yep, that, plus all the housing is low income so if you actually have a job you get punished for it!!
@@herschelsquirts2338 Yes Oroville is depressing - -Glad I escaped to Hawaii after graduating 1965
@@herschelsquirts2338no it’s not all low income housing. You know nothing .
