I was born in 1988 and my family started taking my brother and on annual summer vacations at the beginning of summer from 1990 until about 2008. But this video is so nostalgic. All the cars, the ORIGINAL bridge that has now since been remodeled. A lot has changed there, so this video is a huge nostalgic and sentimental thing to me. Glad you videoed this and posted it
Ahhhhh, Los Dos! Excellent choice! Of course if you're reading this you already knew that, because like me, you're probably from Glenwood and are just taking a ride down memory lane.
I live near Glenwood Springs and go there about one to three times a month usually, and I noticed how most of Glenwood was there back in the 90's. The Wendys, Walmart, Taco Bell and McDonalds were all there in the 90's, as well as the motel and chinese restaurant. However the buildings filled by local businesses has changed a bit since then from what I can tell. I wasn't alive in the 90's and was born in Los Angeles in 2002, and moved to Colorado when I was 6, so haven't not lived here to known from experience, it is crazy to see how much has remained the same and changed over the years since then.
Los Desperados is still open, but under different ownership. Geno's is still around. I saw a bunch of places on their drive that I've been to recently. I go to Glenwood a couple of times a year.
That was awesome! My ex-wife used to work at Bill Hauskins Volkswagen. And managed the Arbies for a short while, back in the 80's and 90's. Found your video searching the GAB videos.
Went through Glenwood springs 4 or 5 days a week for 6 or 7 years late 80's to mid 90's Loved that part of Colorado. Enjoyed good times and good people
I went to Aspen Camp in summer 1992 (2 years later from 1990 when you record the video of Glenwood Springs). Things have been changing since your trip. I remember old bridge where it pass by Hot Springs to 6th Ave that were no longer because of remodeled to new Grand Ave Bridge. It is really strange.
Have you been in Glenwood recently , half of the business have chance and the bridge has change so much is hard to remember how it was before and there is so many new businesses like the meadows .
A lot of those places are still in business. That place you ate lunch, Los Desperados? It's still open. So is Geno's. A few of the businesses you showed during the drive are still there. Roaring Fork Anglers and China Town are still around.
@@massender1 Los Desperados, that place you ate lunch, is still in business. I've eaten there a couple of times when I've gone to Glenwood. Geno's is still there. So are several of the Hotels and other businesses you drove past.
Thanks. Looks a little light on the snow. I moved to the valley from Phoenix, in June 1990. Brings back so many memories of my big decision to transplant here.
Wow, thanks for the trip back through time, can’t believe it, no traffic! 😭😭😭
Born in 89 and grew up in Colorado…that music cranking on the radio is my childhood with my father
I’m not even from there I just loved seeing the old cars and listening to dire straits

1990 and man and woman still couldn't agree where to eat 😂
It's a helluva thing to think about, but I wonder how many people in this video are dead already. By the way, excellent music!
My dad worked at that Walmart 1992 or 1991
2:20, Renault Fuego dead ahead.
I'm new (meaning I promoted here 1 year ago) and still don't know the history of Glenwood Springs, CO.
