This is one of my favorite Pantera songs. I have the lyrics from the end of the song hanging in my office. "Pulling and pushing the rest of duration, no-one can piss on this determination!" Damn that's so motivating. Every time I read it I scream it in my head with Phil's voice.
I wish I had a time machine, and take you to a Pantera live show. Man, they were something special live. Yeah, you can see live vids for sure, but being there live. Damn, there was just so much energy. i think you'd of had fun.

Vinnie and Dimebag were in a great band called DamagePlan after Pantera split up. They only made one album but it’s one of my favorite modern metal albums.
They also did one album with Rex on bass and David Allen Coe on vocals. It’s called rebel meets rebel. Check it out.

The entire "Vulgar Display of Power" album, which features this song + Walk, has the same theme to most songs. I suggest you listen to "New Level" "This Love" or "Fucking Hostile" by them- all off that album
When you get around to Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch you'll get a small glimpse of Pantera in them but no one tops the metal kings xD. Love that you got into Tool, its hard to enjoy some bands after diving into them due to their instrumentals being an entity of their own
