Hi there super Dan ;^) ♪
As I was struggling to unblock my *I.G.Y. * tutorial over the original recordings
and had to rely on recreating the backing track (Heck! was I frustrated),
I was researching for anything that could help me save some precious time
not having to remake all the instruments, and especially hoping to find the musician playing
      instead of programming them digitally.♪
So I stumbled into Tate Berkey's (the drummer) tutorial of *I.G.Y.* and had some new hope
for going about reviving it in my channel. Also found that Danish bassist Mr. Lars-Erik Dahle's tutorial on it too,
(very happy not having reprogrammed Anthony Jackson's bass line), everything has so much musical value
when it's performed by talented and dedicated hands. ♪
In the end, I connected with Tate, and he gave me *carte blanche* for using any of his Steely Dan
and Donald Fagen tutorials for me to use if I want (what a classy talented kid from Pennsylvania).
As far as the Danish bassist, he never replied back (yet) and is most probably unaware I used his tutorial
to complete mine (but, I left him a few messages).♪
Tate is a tremendous fan of Jeff Porcaro's drumming, and he basically did all the Steely Dan
and Donald Fagen tutorials where in which Jeff Porcaro was the drummer in the recording sessions
(so I won't be shy to fit him anywhere in my future Steely Dan with Jeff Porcaro in it).♪
I admit it gives more cachet to the content, and I'm glad that it doesn't seem to distract you and/or the viewers
from learning the songs. Funny fact though, as I was scrolling on his Steely Dan content (which they have uploaded 2 years ago),
one day I said let's go see what he does out of the Steely Dan content, so as I was looking at his latest tutorial of late 2022,
thank god he had his blond hair and glasses because I barely recognized him, I think he lost over 100 pounds of weight,
and he looks now like a young top-gun all-American university quarterback stud. This guy has a lot of determination and will (respect). ♪
