Hey, Chris. I know you didn't come back for the anniversary special, but other times you say you wish you could do it again. I like David and Capaldi and Smith is MY Doctor, but right now at this moment, I'm hoping for YOU to return. And I'm pretty sure the fanbase would welcome you back with open arms, even if it is just a one-time only return. I don't care. Just come back for another multi-Doctor adventure.

Technically it is known as both Series 1 and Season 27. When the show returned in 2005, the production team decided to call it Series 1 in order to attract a new audience. However, as the show is a direct plot continuation from the previous season (the 26th and the TV Movie) it is not a total reboot. A total reboot would have ignored all of the previous Doctor's and Eccleston would have been the First Doctor not the Ninth. Therefore, to those who have watched the show since the classic era, this is the 27th season.
