From my experiences I feel Ford Manufacturing Company knew these problems would occur later years, these Remanufactured Alternator Aren't Guaranteed as the Original Alternator Is Very New Ones Are So Expensive
Ive been trying to remove the two bolts from the bracket but wont budge. I sprayed just a little penetrating oil carefully, one was partially stripped already, but i dont want to make it worse, whats something i could do moving further??
Make sure you have the best socket or tool for the job. Cheap tools strip bolts easily. You can heat the bolts with gas torch that might help. But spray the heck out of those bolts lube is cheap stripped bolts are not!
I have a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 4.6 I have replaced the Car Battery and had Alternator Rebuilt, my problem is Voltage drops closer to L after driving it for about 10-15 minutes, then it'll jump back up., These voltage regulator and Alternator issues are too common with these Grand Marquis I see. It's giving me a headache I went through 3 Advance Auto Alternators all found Not Good... The best Alternator Test is on the Car not inside
It is motivating to see Andre show us how to replace an alternator on TH-cam.
