They are really focused on making sure the quality is the absolute best, besides the final inspection of every hat is a must before leaving the factory everyone on the floor who handles a hat inspects it so every hat Cody handled for the video once he was done was feeling or looking for any imperfections and giving the hat back to the person who was working on it letting them know good job as the hat passed it’s inspection at this point and it came so naturally from him as it is just a habit.
Great insight. Love seeing the pride most of the employees show during each step. The lady doing the sweatband was like, we the best, with that smile when she handed you the hat.
Yes her along with every single employee at the factory had so much pride it was unbelievable I have never seen anything like it. Everybody at any point if they pick up a hat it is second nature too check to make sure that everything is perfect they are truly the best hats in the world.
The factory tour was really good. I enjoyed watching all the hi-lights in the hat production process . Because of this video, I’m planning on visiting my local retailer for an American Hat product. Thanks for posting.
Bought my first American because of your channel , a 10X Steel absolutely love it. Already got my American Straw picked out and its good to know about the petroleum lacquer since I spend time in the PNW. I was worried about that since it rains so much there.

Is it true that American Hat Co buys all of their felt or straw bodies from an outside source? I didn’t see anything in your video that shows them making the felts like you see Stetson/Resistol do.
i’m from Florida and been wanting an American hat felt for the longest now. I know they’re a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Is there any seller you guys recommend online to purchase from that can help with what would be best for me since i’m investing money into it.

I wrote to the company how to choose a certain hat and got no response.im not impressed..even left a phone number ..so disappointed and it was going to be my first cowboy hat... i wanted one based on the 101 video showing how to fold brims on hats by american hat co. Employees itself...and got no response

Im true lover of american hat,I have a 2 hats the 1 its a 10x and 2 its a 200x I buy them a few years ago and I still in love them.

What do they put on beaver hats
Basically it’s all beaver and then they get hardened with shellac.
Question? Where do you actually weave these hats?? I did not see in video Are they weaved in Mexico??

No they do not allow purchase from the factory they do have a Store in the Fort Worth stockyards called the best hat store.
