The main reason for those comments are the toxic people in the mcyt community. As a fan of the smp and the cc's in it, I can agree. Hell, I don't associate myself with the fandom. There is a portion of the fandom that's a problem. Not all of it is bad of course, but like with everything, there's a bad portion of it.
Yeah, I'm not in the fandom or anything really involving dsmp (though I admit, I do occasionally watch some of their videos from time to time). But I agree with what you said, as someone in the Undertale fandom, it's a bit crazy from time to time (thankfully the Undertale fandom has started to calm down a bit, and it seems to be more chill now than it used to be) and it's sad to see things get loads of backlash because of a small, but loud minority of gross people in fandoms, that tend to bury the really good side of it.
Yeah the cc's and the role-playing are really great, but the fandom can be too much. it's more a matter of 'love the art, hate the artist' The animatic is one of the best ones I've seen, but it's hard to disconnect it from the creator. It's a similar situation to Notch, J.K. Rowling, or Sia, all of whom have been shunned by people who were previously fans for doing or saying something controversial (transphobia, transphobia, ableism). Obviously what Chejou is doing isn't exactly the same thing as those examples, but it is the same principle. People still like Minecraft, Harry Potter, and many of Sia's songs, just like people still like the Distortionist animatic, but that doesn't mean that they condone the creator's actions.

The Dsmp fandom is so talented, it’s horrible when people like Chejou do stuff like this. It’s so damaging to the people involved and leaves such a bad impression of the whole community. WAIT I remember his TommyInnit UTAU!!! HE USED IT FOR SIU!!(SIU is a popular vocaloid song, its officially called Suck It Up and is made by Maretu.) I always found it creepy cuz SIU is a dark song about, well a parent telling thier kid to 'suck it up' when they're upset or mistreated, and TommyInnit is a real person who's never covered SIU. I mostly found it creepy since the voice bank could lead to people using it to make much, much darker covers of a few certain Kikuo songs, and use them for "headcanons" or fanfictions, but I was a bit nervous to tell Chejou he shouldn't make a TommyInnit UTAU because I didnt know UTAU rules or if Chejou would harrass me since it was well-received. Guess I can say now that the UTAU sux.
UTAU's rules can be, odd. Considering this person's confirmed actions, them using a, I guess Tommy UTAU (I don't wanna say Tommy's since he didn't make it,) for this song feels very, wrong. Otherwise, the rules of how using a voicebank can depend heavily on what the voice provider states. Some are okay with darker song covers in general, others with permission, some not at all. This, plus the fact Tommy didn't make the voice bank himself, makes the whole thing feel worse.

I noticed that the screenshots of their posts were from russian social media called vkontakte and that means they're probably russian-speaking. As someone who had seen the horrors of the russian internet this doesn't surprise me. Shit like this is unfortunately normalised amongst russian-speaking segment and I at some period in my life thought this stuff was normal too. And I'm scared to think that a lot of minors still think like I did in the past. There's a huge problem of sexualazation of minors in Russia. There's a show called pregnant at 16 that's a reality show about, as you've guessed pregnant minors. And sometimes there are even 15 year olds on the show that's like lower than the actual age of consent there. And the worst part is that their "partners" are often 20 years old or older and they face no consequenses for their actions and most of the time the girls get abused by them and their families. And one time there was this 13 year old girl who made a tiktok that russians thought was too leftist and started sending her death threats doxxing her and an adult ass artist (obviously from vkontakte) drew something really inappropriate with her and when got a backlash others started defending him saying that girl was the first to sexualize herself which was obviously not true

With the drawing of the two adults kissing, it seems to be Bad and Sapnap. Now I’m not completely sure on saps boundaries but he has expressed that he is fine with shipping, and bad has said the same just he does not want nsfw. It is actually humiliating how there are people like this in the fandom. I get multiple rude comments from people saying "oH a DrEam stAn eWWWwwww", and "Ew the dsmp pfp is making me cringe so bad". The main reason for those comments are the toxic people in the mcyt community. I mean every fandom has it's toxic people, but I'm sure the mcyt community is a very cheering and cozy place to be in without the toxic people. Yeah, I'm not in the fandom or anything really involving dsmp (though I admit, I do occasionally watch some of their videos from time to time). But I agree with what you said, as someone in the Undertale fandom, it's a bit crazy from time to time (thankfully the Undertale fandom has started to calm down a bit, and it seems to be more chill now than it used to be) and it's sad to see things get loads of backlash because of a small, but loud minority of gross people in fandoms, that tend to bury the really good side of it.
Yeah the cc's and the role-playing are really great, but the fandom can be too much. Though I don't not associate with the fandom since there are still amazing artists/animators and well-thoughout fanmade stories/fanfictions (not include shipping), but alike FNAF and Undertale the toxic and weird side of the fandom really buries the amazing side of it and the actual lore and cc's and that's just really sad

The animatic is one of the best ones I've seen, but it's hard to disconnect it from the creator. It's a similar situation to Notch, J.K. Rowling, or Sia, all of whom have been shunned by people who were previously fans for doing or saying something controversial (transphobia, transphobia, ableism). Obviously what Chejou is doing isn't exactly the same thing as those examples, but it is the same principle. People still like Minecraft, Harry Potter, and many of Sia's songs, just like people still like the Distortionist animatic, but that doesn't mean that they condone the creator's actions.

WAIT I remember his TommyInnit UTAU!!! HE USED IT FOR SIU!!(SIU is a popular vocaloid song, its officially called Suck It Up and is made by Maretu.) I always found it creepy cuz SIU is a dark song about, well a parent telling thier kid to 'suck it up' when they're upset or mistreated, and TommyInnit is a real person who's never covered SIU. I mostly found it creepy since the voice bank could lead to people using it to make much, much darker covers of a few certain Kikuo songs, and use them for "headcanons" or fanfictions, but I was a bit nervous to tell Chejou he shouldn't make a TommyInnit UTAU because I didnt know UTAU rules or if Chejou would harrass me since it was well-received. I noticed that the screenshots of their posts were from russian social media called vkontakte and that means they're probably russian-speaking. As someone who had seen the horrors of the russian internet this doesn't surprise me. Shit like this is unfortunately normalised amongst russian-speaking segment and I at some period in my life thought this stuff was normal too. And I'm scared to think that a lot of minors still think like I did in the past.
There's a huge problem of sexualazation of minors in Russia. There's a show called pregnant at 16 that's a reality show about, as you've guessed pregnant minors. And sometimes there are even 15 year olds on the show that's like lower than the actual age of consent there. And the worst part is that their "partners" are often 20 years old or older and they face no consequenses for their actions and most of the time the girls get abused by them and their families.
And one time there was this 13 year old girl who made a tiktok that russians thought was too leftist and started sending her death threats doxxing her and an adult ass artist (obviously from vkontakte) drew something really inappropriate with her and when got a backlash others started defending him saying that girl was the first to sexualize herself which was obviously not true

When I was thirteen, I ended up in a corner of the internet filled with really inappropriate people, tons of nsfw stuff, romantization of pedophilia, incest, rape, abuse, just. So much gross shit. I got out, but it severely damaged the way I viewed romance and boundaries.

i've had a massive problem with the MCYT community for a VERY long time... i love the content creators and everything they do, but their fandom takes it too far. it's to the point where i get nervous every time i record videos and end up just not filming.
Thank you for this, people in the community, especially on Twitter, has been calling Chejou out for a long while and it's amazing to see bigger creators speak on this as well since they still make content on YT and have a huge following on here and sadly can't tell their YT audience what they've done since Chejou has their comments disabled on all their videos.

If I see one more person hate on someone for being in the dsmp fandom, I'm going to start a riot.
1. It isn't the entire fandom that's toxic, its certain people in the fandom that feel the need to be toxic and horrible to people who aren't in the fandom.
2. just because someone's in the dsmp fandom doesn't mean their a horrible person, their just someone enjoying their content and having a fun time watching it, its completely fine if they like it.

With the drawing of the two adults kissing, it seems to be Bad and Sapnap. Now I’m not completely sure on saps boundaries but he has expressed that he is fine with shipping, and bad has said the same just he does not want nsfw.
