Just an update, installation complete! I had to play around a bit to get everything lined up correctly, but thanks to you, the bike is running great and charging the battery like it should. Thank you G. I am grateful for all your advice and patience.

Great news and a successful test ride, do a nut and bolt retorque but leave the pulley alone don't break the seal from the locktite just do a hand wiggle check to that, Happy Rides to you Eric and Job Well Done, Pat yourself on your back.

Great series. Very helpful. After watching these, I can do it!😀How well does your lower fairing on the left side fit with the alternator in place?

The side pieces touch the alternator but the screws line up, no interference., Thanks for Watching.

You probably can use a old sparkplug wire end to cover the one wire of the alternator. Great work by the way. I'm definitely doing this. You gave me great advice I'm looking for old angle iron bed frames that people scrap to make the bracket. How did it run?

Thanks for watching, it runs great, there also is the running video after completion for voltage test and reading, see that video and see and hear it run, again I did mine for a little over $200.00, just match what and how I did mine with some modification according your bike, Go for it, you can do it.

As you have one wire alternator and inbuild regulator so you don't need the external (original) regulator. Also you didn't connect any ignetion wire to your alternator. Is it protected when you fire the engine?

The only thing I did was cut and shrink wrap the wires from the stator and left everything else as it was,, I did add a 40 amp fuse block at the battery 6" from the wire going to the battery, everythi,g is charging fine and Po Boy alternator is operating as designed., view the other videos for showing the running voltage, Thanks for Watching.

@@max1chase166 Good job 👍🏻 I have my gl 1200 engine out for heavy restoration and thinking to put an external alternator too. Would you please send me the measurement of the pully you used? I have a friend who got cnc machine and will make one for me :)
